Actually, so far, today is a lovely day ... the sun is shining, it's a bright day.

And I have walked just under a couple of miles ... USING ONE CRUTCH!!!

Yes, the next stage of the process ... 4 months on, so I fely almost naked!  However it was great to pick up a few groceries on the way home and not have to use a back-pack.  My physio still wants me to use 2 crutches into work, as it's a 10 min walk uphill on the way in, which really stresses the calf ... and by the time I finish the muscles are getting tired.  But I am one happy girl today.

I got in from that planning on giving my kitchen a good clean ... and almost immediately had a message asking if I could work as the lady who should is waiting on a plumber.  So, the kitchen won't sparkle, but I am still not upset ... it was too good a morning!

And, of course ... HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY  for you all

Right, I need to get organised ... so ...

13. What’s the weather like today? Is it about average for the time of year?
Gorgeous! Sunny, bright, with a nice fresh feel

14. How many flights of stairs would you consider walking up in a building, or do you always take the lift/elevator?
At the moment, none!!!!
When I was at college we had a 6 story building, and I never once used the lift ... but I was in my early 20s then!

15. Have you ever considered how you would leave your home in an emergency?

I have never thought about it - but if I had to then I would.
I have a close friend who lives in Malibu, so has been evactuated off and on with the fires, last year.

Right, hope you all have a good weekend
See you Monday x
debris4spike: (Default)
Wow, 2 days, 2 posts!

Actually I know I owe replies to comments, and also a reply to a freind via email, but wanted to get this done.

I am working again later, but want to actually get some housework done before I go. I still can't get organised, like Mum was, but I am trying to keep on top of things better (no, it's not a new-year resolution otherwise I would never keep it!!)

On Sunday morning it was lovely and dry and I did manage a walk, and took the camera, and spotted some lovely signs that February had started ... and Spring would be on the way -

1st February (5)

1st February (4)

1st February (3)

1st February (1)

And, the proof that we have had a lot of rain ... the drops are still lingering -
1st February (7)
Actually it's raining again today so I would be able to take lots of raindrop photos!

Well cleaning is calling ... so I shall get that done, and then hopefully get back here and answer comments, and see what your posts have been saying.

But, as ever, before that -

3. Is there a book you’ve seen made into a film and been disappointed with the result?
The last film adaptation of Emma I saw, I actually turned the TV off after about 1/2 an hour.
Also the last series of Anne Of Green Gables totally invented a storyline that didn't exist.

Right, lte's try and catch up in a moment.
debris4spike: (Default)
I am not meant to be working a full week to allow my leg time to heal ... so my Wednesdays are days to do assorted things.

Yesterday I had a frustrating day. First I wanted to go to my large supermarket, which is now too far away to walk to ... so bus. Great ... I got to the bus stop to find a man fuming as it had come on his app that the bus was cancelled. So half hour wait ... I got out my Kindle and settled down. About 10 mins later the man is angry ... the next bus is cancelled. As he said this I saw a bus approaching the opposite bus stop going into the city. One of the things I wanted to get I knew I could pick up there ... so OK, change of plans. When I got there there was a diversion so a longer walk, but fine ... nice and dry. And, so, shopping done, and home.

After lunch I needed to post Nick's parcel and drop off Claire's ... Back to the bus stop to find I had just missed one and had a half hour wait for the next, so decided to walk. Was I aching by the time I got there. Parcel sent, and round to Tim & Claire's ... Tim was working from home as it turned out, so nice to have a 5 minute chat with him, and actually got the feeling back in the leg before the walk home. After the walk I felt really positive again.

That is until the company that I work for rang me to book my training ... most is on-line but some is face to face. I managed to put off booking one of the trainings ... but I don't know how long I can get away with that. So annoying ... one of the courses has to be in a classroom ... I have a choice of venues ... London or Manchester. It took me all my time not to hang up on them at that point!

So after that plans to check in on LJ went out the window ... my book, then an episode of Stargate Atlantis (hence the icon)& my jigsaw called.

In the evening I did see a fascinating documentary on the Aztecs ... and for anyone who has read/heard "Changes" in the Dresden Files it really brought that section of the story more to life.

Now today, I have done some housework and off to work soon. But before that -

28. Have you ever played a kazoo?

No - Tim had one, but I never played it.

29. It's Tom Sellek's birthday - have you ever seen him in anything you've enjoyed?

I don't always automatically recognise the actor's names ... but Three Men and a Baby/Little Lady are a fun watch

Right, that's me up to date

Have a fun day everyone
debris4spike: (Default)
I do find life so, so frustrating at present. However, when I look back on a couple of weeks ago life is so much more easier.

I have managed to have a walk each day, without the splint, and using the crutches. It's slow going, but I am managing it, so that's the main thing.

I have also managed to get a bit of housework done ... so another positive tick. Today my car is being serviced and MOT'd ... I was slightly worried as it was running out, and I am unable to drive. However the car company have collected it, so hopefully they won't find any major problems, and it will get returned OK.

Last Friday I managed to catch up with someone who used to go to the same Church as me. It was lovely to see her, and just have a couple of hours of gentle chat.

Well other than that, the highlight of the missing few days was a visit to the doctor to sort out the painkillers ... so nothing super-exciting.

I am going to gt some more icons made in a moment. Before that -

13. Have you ever played card games? Do you have a favourite?
When I was at school there used to be a group of us who played Solo Whist, a lot. I loved it.
I have enjoyed other card games when I have had a chance.

14. It’s National American Teddy Bear Day! Do you have any teddy bears?
I have loads! Including the first bear I ever had … and on my bed is the teddy that was my first Christmas present, and the one that’s my first birthday present.
But downstairs I also have the bear that Mum had as a kid
And, as I say, loads more.

15. Do you give names to inanimate objects such as your car, your computer or other items?
No

16. Are you a fan of ‘fast food’? When was the last time you visited a fast food restaurant?
When I am out by myself then I pick fast-food, as it's cheep and quick. Normally when I am in London that's my lunch for the day.

17. Do you use placemats when you eat at the dining table?
Yes.
Although Mum & Dad had a proper protective cover, as they preferred that with the tablecloth. I suppose it means you can move things around easily that way.

Right, let's see what you are all doing?
debris4spike: (Default)
Wow, today is November ... and I managed a slow staedy 100 yard "walk". However the advantage of walking slow enough that snails ere overtaking me, is that I was able to enjoy the things I could see around me. So ... this is literally just up the road from my house, this morning. So much colour.

DSC_4848

1st November (11)

1st November (4)

And, more colour here )

So life is progressing ... slow, but overall I can see that I had a better walking style ... I really concentrated on walking through the leg, allbeit, slowly.

I want to try and get a bit of housework done, but I do plan to have a lazy afternoon.  This evening I am looking forward to catching up on Strictly, having missed the last 3 Saturdays ... so although I know who is "out", I have missed the process, and the eving entertainment.

Then tomorrow being Sunday, a very lazy day ... especially as I am unable to drive, so can't get to Church.  So, other than another couple of short walks I plan to totally rest the leg.

I do plan on catching up on the missing questions, as I enjoy the challenge, and thinking what the answers are ... and, after all [livejournal.com profile] kazzy_cee went to the bother to sort them out, so don't want tp ignore her work.  So, here are the questions since yesterday, and this weekend -

31. Do you have a favourite aroma you love (a perfume, something baking, a flower etc)?
I have anancient rose bush, and that is one beautiful smell.
But, there again, so is fresh cooked bread!

1. In the UK, the 5th of November is Guy Fawkes night, which is celebrated with fireworks. The firework displays and parties usually start this weekend and may continue for several days of November. When was the last time you attended a firework display?
I haven't been to one for years, although I love fireworks.
When I was a teen our Sunday School group used to have a great firework party, complete with singing round the bonfire, while drinking tomato soup.  For all the years we did it, it always seemed to be a lovely evening - great memories.

2. Do you have anything you love so much on TV that you record all the episodes?
My TV doesn't record!!
However there's not been much that I really want to keep recently - although I have quite a few series on DVDs

Right, let's get this posted.

I will see you all on Monday x
debris4spike: (Default)
Yes, she is now 11 years cancer free. Her mastectomy was literally happening now, and as all the surrounding tissue was clear, she got the all-clear after the op.

I suppose I can be incredibly positive and say that, as far as I know, I have also been cancer free in that time!

So, lots to be thankful for.

I think we need to be reminded of that from time to time. Sometimes, when the days are cold and dark, and there are assorted tensions around, I forget to be thankful.

I did take the A to Z photo, but as it wasn't good quality I need to re-take it. I shall probably wait now till next Monday and post the 2 weeks on the same day. But I promise I will take the same image, so I am fulfilling the meme (honest!).

Just had my blood test, so hopefully that will also give good news. My asthma is still not great, but I think the rest of me is OK now. Still, let's see what the bloods show. I walked home a slightly longer way, so not a very long walk, but at least something.

Right - my kitchen floor needs a clean ... icons need to be made ... what a difficult choice to make!!!!!!!!!! (I bet you can guess which one gets my vote!). Until then -

12. Have you ever crossed the equator?

The furthest south I have been is Abu Simbel Temples, which I have checked, and it's 22.3372° N
So, no ... not yet!

Right, let's get on x
debris4spike: (Default)
I had a lovely walk yesterday, and another short one today.  Yesterday I had to walk to get Nick's birthday pressie in the post, and also to deliver Claire's pressie to their house.  She was out (Tim was at work), so I left it in their recycling bin in the back garden, as I have a key to their back gate (and remembered to take it with me).  I then text them, as this morning was bin day for us both, and didn't wan't the pressie to end up in recycling - well unless Claire doesn't like it and chooses to do that anyway!

Wednesday however was a very stressful day.  In the morning I had a message from my "boss" at work to ask why I hadn't renewd my DBS this year.  She took me by suprise, as although it is due next week, I had done it back in November.  So, after an hour on hold on the phone with the company that actually employs me I found out that, no, I wasn't covered, but they couldn't tell me why.  So they gave me another number ... and I was on hold for another hour!  Luckily this time I got to speak to someone who was actually helpful  He eventually worked out that "someone" had forgotten to clear it through the system ... so I had to do it again.  So I walked into their office in work only to be told that I had to have an appointment.  So I just sat down and said that the man at HQ told me to come in ... and she decided it was the easiest way to get rid of me!

At long last I have heard that the paperwork is with the DBS people ... I just now have to wait for it to be cleared.  I asked both the people I spoke to why I had not been informed that there was a problem, and their answer was that they didn't know!

What a day!

As ever in between everything I have made a few icons. These 4 are foru your_favourites, with a theme of "Siblings". My favourite sibling relationship is that of Buffy & Dawn in BtVS

4  .  3  .  2  .  1

I actually got caught up with all my icons for the month of January ... roll on February.

Tomorrow I am working in the afternoon, but hope to pop in during the morning - so until then ....

29. It is thought that William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet" was first performed in 1595. Have you ever seen a Shakespeare play on the stage?
No - had to read them at school. Henry IV part I was one of my O' level plays (the othere was "A Nan For All Seasons")

30. Do you have houseplants?
Yes, but they survive more by luck, I think

31. The end of January – does it seem to have flown past? Have you enjoyed this month?
It's been a typical January really - nothing special, nothing bad.

Right, hope to see you tomorrow.
debris4spike: (Default)
How can it be 4 years ago that little Jiffy crossed Rainbow Bridge ... where do the days go? Some days I still expect to see him in the house. he may have been a little person, but he filled a big place in the hearts of those who knew him.

Love you Jiffy - Miss you My Little Man

I didn't get out to see his grave today ... hope to get there soon.

Yes, the plan had been to get over to see Jiffy's grave, and have a walk round the cemetery, which is such an amazing place, but I ended up over-sleeping this morning.

Then I found it very hard to get motivated ... maybe if I had done the trip it would have  helped me focus, I don't know.

Anyway, this afternoon I have already done better, as I have had a walk, and then made the last couple of thesee icons.  They were made for PeriodDrama_IC over on DW .... with a theme of Celestial. All the images are from Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman

1 3   5   2   4

As ever, they are all snaggable, with credits on my icon journal.

I really ought to be getting some cleaning done ... so maybe that's why I didn't get motivated this morning, and am now scribbling away here!  Still it will get done later today, or tomorrow, I promise!

But I really want to get this posted before I

23. Has anyone in your family had a 50th wedding anniversary?
Yes - many of them (in fact Mum's cousin celebrated their 70th anniversary)
The first immediate family was Mum's Parents ... Boxing Day 1970 (so I am 10 in this photo, Nick is all but but 6, and Tim 4).  This is our lounge -
img008
Dad's parents was in 1974 but we don't have photos as Granddad was not at all well for the last 10 years of his life.  But we did go there to celebrate the day.
Then Mum & Dad celebrated in 2002 .... this is them with their 4 bridesmaids.  The 2 standing next to Mum are still alive, but the other 4 of the party aren't now.
Wedding Group
Next year we are having a big party to celebrate Tim & Claire's 35th ... so there will be photos in March (you have been warned!!)

Right, I am sure you are bored by now ... so will catch up with you all in a moment.
debris4spike: (Default)
Yes, I am slowly getting there ... both yesterday and today I have managed a short walk (only about a mile each day), but am going with the positive seeing how last week just walking across my lounge seemed a long way ... and I don't live in a mansion!!!!

I will try and catch up with you all in a moment, but until then I will apologise for the deya.

I had aimed to pop in yesterday ... BUT ...

BEWARE ... talk of suicide )

I am hoping to get some artwork done today, as don't have work.

The bank balance is not happy, but at least I have the time to fully rest and relax ... and recover.

So, before I post this ....

3. On National Poetry Day do you have a favourite poet or poem (link if you want to)?
Don't have a favourite ... but I tend to like some of the silly poems.
I prefer ones that don't need explaining ... maybe that's why some of the war poetry works for me ... or something silly like -
Little girls should love their brothers
But I so good have grown
That I love other people's brothers
Better than my own!!

4. Do you have any lights in your house that are on a timer so they come on automatically?
No ... if I had lights on a lot that would be wrong, as i tend to like dimmed rooms anyway!

Right, lets try and get on ... answer some replies, and catch up with you if I can x

Mid-Week Musings

Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 10:36 am
debris4spike: (Default)
I will be spamming you all with some more photos soon. But thought I would just do a brief catch-up with you all. I will also try and see what you have been up to over the last week or so (if you have any vital news, please send me the link)

I was late home on Friday ... but it was a good holiday. Amazingly one of the people on the trip was someone I have known for about 6 years .... we have both done these regular WWI trips, but this is the first time we have ended up on the same one. So it was good to catch up with her, as well.

I worked over the weekend, and then again on Monday.

Yesterday got away from me, although I did manage to get some photos & icons posted for you .... so not a complete waste of time.

Now today I have already been a good girl in that I have done some housework (I cleaned my patio doors ... although they always seem to be more smeared when I have finished, than when I started!!). I have also had a walk, and need to do another one later as I promised Tim & Claire I would check up on their place while they were away ... so now I have time to sort photos, and make some more icons, as well.

But, as ever -

3. Do you like Welsh Rarebit? Have you ever made it?

It's what I call cheese-on-toast ... so I make the basic version on a regular basis.

4. What is your favourite tree?

I love an oak tree ... preferably an older one.

Right - I will get on x

That Was Hectic

debris4spike: (Default)
I worked again this morning ... and it was certainly busy, busy, busy ... which meant that the time went rapidly.  Luckily we had a good selection of people, with only a couple of random questions ... so, a good morning, afer all.

I have also been a good girl as I had a walk of almost a couple of miles ... I realised how I had got a bit lazy recently, and a good friend was "nagging" me in that they have a walk every day and how good it is ... so, yes, I do listen occasionally!

21. In 1943 Disney’s Bambi was released. Have you ever seen it (did you cry when Bambi’s mother died?).
I have always refused to see it, for that reason alone!

Right, I need to see how you are all doing.
debris4spike: (Default)
As I wanted to get some photos posted before I did this you have been spammed.

I worked this morning ... and it was a busy morning.  Really busy.  I don't know of any particular reason, but it just seemd hectic.

When I got back, I hung out my washing, and it is great that it is a bit breezy, so that should all be dried quickly.  Then I had something to eat, and then was a good girl and had a short walk.  I have been a bit lazy recently, so need to get back into doing something.  Even though I didn't go all that far it was nice to be in the fresh air, and to see some greenery as I cut across the corner of a local park..

Now I am here ... and have posted some more photos.  I have one more set to do, which I will do at some point.

I also want to catch up with you all.  I know I am all behind, so I want to get organised (if I can) ... but before that -

20. Do you often listen to the radio? Which channel do you listen to most if you do?

I always have the radio on first thing in a morning ... radio 2. I sometimes listen to it for a few minutes before I am settling down to sleep, as well.

Right, let's get on
debris4spike: (Default)
I managed to catch up with a friend from work for a short walk ... we pretty much avoided the rain, but were stunned to see almost waves on an inland lake!

Stover is not far from where Mum & Dad used to live, so it was a popular walk for Jiffy.  But it is also fairly flat, so easier walking when I am struggling with a cracked rib.

In the afternoon I got the bus into the city as I have had some problems with my vision ... the optician was great and quite positive, that although my prescription had changed in less than 3 months it was still OK

Today I am having a lazy day ... I need to collect a prescription, but as it's cold and wet I shall leave that for tomorrow.

Instead I shall try and make some icons, which I love, but at present the mouse has to be used in my left hand, so slower than normal.  Before I do that, I must catch up -

9. National Cherish an Antique Day - a day to find out about anything you've got that has been passed down through the family. Or maybe you've bought something that you will pass down? Do you have any antiques?
Actually loads!  The room I am sitting in has a couple of books that belonged to my grandparents when they were kids ... also a clock (one of 2 in the house) on the wall that belonged to my great-granparents and were made in the 1880's

10. World Homeopathy Day - a day to raise awareness of Homeopathy. Do you believe it has a place in modern medicine?
As an ex-osteopath I am a great believer in all forms of traditional healing such as homeopathy, naturopathy etc

Right, let's get on x

10 Years On

Monday, February 12th, 2024 12:10 pm
debris4spike: (Default)
10 years ago, about now, Claire was having a mastectomy.

Fortunately she didn't need any chemo or radiotherapy ... so we always focus on the fact that she is now 10 years cancer free ... and that is something to celebrate.

I am trying to get caught up with things today ... have already done some housework and had a walk ... now here for a short time, before lunch, then back again this afternoon.

Lets get the photos caught up -

Yesterday I didn't really do much, although Tim & Claire popped in on their way home from their walk.  However when I went to my freezer in my shed, I saw that a couple of my small rose bushes are already well and truly in "Spring" mode -
11th February

Today I had a lovely 2 mile walk.

The hospital I work at, is actually on "Barrack Rd", and yes the barracks still exist -
12th February (2)

12th February (3)

As I walked up the road I spotted this little-one "working" very hard -
12th February (1)

And Spring is certainly around ... including in this frist picture a bee

12th February (4)

12th February (6)

And, this is the other end of the park that I shared photos of last week -
12th February (7)

I also spotted this tree ... the prompt for last week on [livejournal.com profile] photo_scavenger was "bother" ... I think the kids who kicked those footballs up into the tree will have a bother if they want to retrieve them
DSC_0685

Right, that's me up to date ... so let's do todays question -

Today Charles Darwin was born in 1809 and across the world his birth is celebrated. Have you a Natural History Museum nearby you can visit?
I have been to the Natural History Museum in London ... and the building itself is stunning.
Our local museum has a couple of Natural History sections ... one of which I can't really go in as I am really arachnaphobic!!!!

Right, I will try and catch up with you all, after lunch x

More Colour Spotted

Thursday, February 1st, 2024 11:05 am
debris4spike: (Default)
Yes, I had a walk and spotted more signs of Spring. It was actually a lovely bright, but cooler, day. So I enjoyed the walk.

1st February (4)

1st February (2)

1st February (1)

1st February (3)

I had to go into work to try and sort something on a work computer ... but didn't get the things done I wanted, as I had to email a couple of people, and am now awaiting replies. Oh well, can't do anything else, but at least stage one is done.

So that's frustrating, but nothing I can do

Oh well ... let's start the February questions -

1. Dark chocolate is now considered to have significant benefits for your good gut bacteria and is an excellent source of fibre and antioxidants. But you must eat around 20 g (0.7 oz) of chocolate containing at least 70% cocoa daily to get these benefits - do you like very dark chocolate?
I am a Cadbury dairy milk fan ... and eat very little non-Cadbury (although I always have Nestle Quality Street at Christmas). I have tried the dark-milk that Cadbury make, and even that's too bitter for me ... so, to shorten the answer ... No, I don't!

Right let's get on.

I want to get my sunlounge un-messed. Over Christmas I used it as a bit of a dumping ground, so want to get it sorted out.

See you later x
debris4spike: (Default)
I have just got bread out of the bread maker ... and have had a great walk with my friend from work.  It was dry, and cool when we started, but as we walked it got fairly warm ... yes, there were a lot of uphills!  But it was good to see her, and to hear she is doing a lot better than she has been.  Although I did remind her not to head back to work too soon, but to be honest with herself (and her doctor).

While I was on holiday the other member of the clinic has booked in a few extra clinics, so I have gained as he text me and I can do them ... so great news.

I am working this evening on the reception ... I have a couple of shifts this week, as one of the members of full-time staff is on leave.

So all in all, not a busy, busy week, but enough to keep me out of mischief and the bank balance happy.

So, I shall get some more photos up before I head into work ... and before I sign off here ...

16 – Liqueur Day: Amaretto! Grand Marnier! Kahlua! Creme de Menthe! A liqueur is an alcoholic beverage made from a distilled spirit. Distillers flavor the spirit with fruit, cream, herbs, spices, flowers, or nuts. They may have fallen out of favour due to the increasingly broad selection of spirits available in seasonal, fragrant, and often curious flavors (vodkas and rums in particular), but they haven't disappeared. Have you ever had a liqueur? Do you have a favourite?
Mum & Dad loved Grand Marnier .... but I prefer a Creme de Menth, or Ouzo
My brother Tim has introduced me to Gin Cocktails ... and some Vodka ones. And sadly for my liver, there are very few I don't like!

Right, I must get one and get something to eat ... see you later x

What A Fun Morning

... and now I must gt on, as I am in work later.

I met up with Christine (from work) ... she is still on long-term sick leave.  We went to Stover, which I hadn't been to since Jiffy crossed rainbow Bridge.  It is not far from where M&D used to  live, and jiffy loved going there ... so happy memories.  And, the weather stayed lovely for us ... here are a few photos from the walk -

So what a lovely morning trip. Now, I have to get on, so

5 – Global James Bond Day: Are you a Bond fan (either books or films or both)? Who is your favourite Bond actor? Do you have a favourite Bond theme song?
Pierce Brosnan ... although I quite like Timothy Dalton, as well
If you know me, you know I love jewellery, so the music has to be "Diamonds are Forever"!! Although actually I do like the actually James Bond theme itself.

Right, off to shops, before heading off to work - see you tomorrow x
debris4spike: (Default)
... And best wishes for 2023.

I have just got back from a lovely walk, in the sunshine.  I even bumped into Tim & Claire on my way back, as they were on their way out for a walk themselves.

So, thought I would share some photos I took ... beautiful sunshine, and lovely to see people out and about enjoying Exeter.

And, I got a list of questions from [livejournal.com profile] enigmaticblues ... so here goes -

1 – Global Family Day: How do you define family?
Fo me it is a blood relative, or one married to one of them.
But, I also believe the whole world is a family ... after all we are all inherited to Adam & Eve!

2 – World Introvert Day: Do you consider yourself an introvert, an extrovert, or something in between?
Introvert

Right - must get on.  I will catch up with you all a bit later x

So today I walked into the city, looked at some shops, and back home ... about 4 miles. So that means I can have cake later! I did some baking earlier this afternoon ... pastry. Some is for now, some for the freezer. When Brenda arrives on Tuesday I have Tim & Claire round for dinner as well. So I have made a syrup tart ... and some individual jam tarts.

Then tomorrow it's Church day. I went to Nick & Brenda's Church last year and did the Bible reading as usually Andrew opens the service, and although the rest was organised, they forgot to sort out a Bible reader ... and I was the "lucky" person who was early!! Nick had picked a very long reading, with lots of long names, but decided to cut out a few of the verses ... so I think I managed it without stumbling too badly (maybe Nick will say different!)

I know there are things I should be doing, but it is Saturday afternoon so will make some icons instead ... before I do that ...

6. What is your favourite thing to do on a Saturday morning?

I always walk to shops, whether the supermarket, or the city. I enjoy it, and do it every Saturday, so it's both the favourite & the worst thing I do!!

7. Where do you think your road is going?
Geographically I live on a road that heads towards the city
Spiritually I am headed towards Heaven
Life ... who knows? It happens a day at a time

Right that's me done for the weekend. I will catch up with you all later, but won't be around 100% until Monday ... enjoy x

Another Thursday

Shooping done, walk done, another panel of fence painted ... and now I am here.

The sun is shining again today, I could get used to that ... which probably means that for Andrew's wedding in a couple of weeks it will pour with rain. Oh well, there is nothing we can do about it, so it was nice to both enjoy it, and get some more outdoor work done while I could.

I have just had my clinic shift for tomorrow cancelled so have managed to arrange to have coffee with Toni & Pete. Sadly his diagnosis was that of cancer and he starts his treatment soon, so it will be good to catch up with them while he is feeling OK (he can't see what all the fuss is about as he doesn't feel any different at all). As they have a dog I have made sure they have a key to my front door just in case they need to drop her off in an emergency. It is nice to be able to reciprocate the help afet all the care she gave both Jaykub and especially DJ for me in the past.

Wellthere's no other news (that's the disadvantage of posting regularily!). I did post some photos yesterday, and still owe you some more, so will try and edit a few today ... but, as wever -

14. If you didn't have any responsibilities for the day, what would you do?

Sightseeing

Wow wish all questions were like that - obvious answer. Right I must make icons ... I realise one challenge I am really far behind, so I want to get on with that.
