As I said, Claire and I enjoyed looking at the Art Deco costumes at Killerton House ... Some truly beautiful stuff.

I bouught some shoes to wear next weekend at Tim & Claire's party ... actually took a risk on eBay, and they fit really well.  If they hadn't, I would have just put them in the charity bag.  So far, so good.

However, as I mentioned in the questions a couple of days ago, I have to get the heel height adjusted on one of them.  Well I have been doing that for 40 years now.  If it's a pair of flat shoes I add a "cushion" to the left shoe ... if it has "proper" heels tyhen I take them in to shoe repairers.

However this morning that took some time ... as I had to agree that I was damaging the design of the shoe, that I was affecting the angle of the heel, that I was changing the whole design of the pair as a pair ... etc, etc.  He eventually agreed to do it, but said that he would not accept being sued for any problems.

Despite me saying I had done this for 40 years - it now becomes a risk assessment for the cobler. 

Anyway, the shoes are on at present, as I need to make sure I am not going to rub a blister next Saturday ... and to remind my body about heels. as at work I am always in flats.

So that was my stress for the day ... I hope!

Now I am going to get things sorted out, before heading back into work after lunch.  So, before I post this -

No - and No.

16. Do you regularly eat breakfast? What’s your favourite thing to eat?
I always, always eat breakfast
Normally it's cereal and a couple of cups of tea.
But I will admit the rare times I stay in a nice hotel then I do love a full English breakfast.
However, whatever I do, the day starts with a pint of cold water.

I have just heard from my neighbours that they think it's their fence, so will repair it. So brilliant, that's one bill, however small, I won't have this month. I will admit that I thought it was my fence, so am glad to find out it that it isn't.

YAY

I had someone from work pop in this evening to give my my wedding invitation ... I already knew about it, and hotel is already booked ... so are the flights, as it is in Portugal. There will be 6 from the dept, and the bride, as well as (ironically) my neighbours (who are also friends). I dare say I will spend a lot of time sitting by the pool, which I hate, but am determined to do a bit of sight-seeing, as well. But it will be a fun 5 days.

My trainers are only 6 months old, and is the newest. Partly as I am stuck at home I am in relaxed clothes., but partly, if I like something, I don't throw it away until I really have to.

I did say I was going to kick myself into positiveness again ... so today I went out shopping ... and got the first layer - undies!

I stared the day off by getting dressed in my swimming costume - which is navy blue with a patterned turquoise panel down the fron ... on top of that I wore black jeans (that are so ancient they are pale, pale grey), the grey jumper I had on yesterday, and trainers.

Then off swimming - so all the clothes came off except the cossie!

After showering/drying I put on beige undies (with a pink flower on the front of the thongs, if you want specific!), a white t-shirt, green jumper, and purple sox.

As I sit here now I have put my warm slippers on rather than the trainers, as well as the baggy red cardi, to keep watm.

Today I spent the morning at Toni's and this afternoon on the computer.  So, a quiet day in a rural setting, means boring clothes ... sorry!

White bra and thong.
Green long sleeved, V neck, t-shirt, jeans (traditional blue denim), fluffy sox, with teddy bear pictures on them, white trainers.
Multi-coloured jumper.
Glove on my left hand ... yes, I tend to do that when "resting" as my injured finger can't cope with the cold.
And, now I wearing a big red baggy cardingan as well, to save putting the heating on.

Pearl neclace, 8 rings (normal ones for me!) and gold earings ... in a Celtic design, watch and magnetic/copper bangle.
