... And we had a no-show, as well as someone who was almost an hour late (even though he was only about 10 minutes walk away) ... maybe he took the scenic route! However, over all, the clinic was OK, as they were nice people.

Now I am trying to get this done before going to the shops, and then getting some more photos sorted ... and, yes, I do aim to post some later.

But, before I go -

20. Do you have a "and then it got worse" story? Will you share it?
Nothing major, that I remember.
One small story could be the summer I was 22 we got stuck in traffic in Andorra for 6 hours, so a worry as to whether we could do the trip back to Calais in time for our ferry ... and then about 4 hours later, the clutch completly died in the car. Three days late, we made it to Calais!

Oh well, that's me, and the shops are calling (I am out of milk, and not having a cuppa makes life tough!

ETA
Went to the shop, did shopping, and I was on my way home ... when ... I realised, No milk.  So I went back!  Now I have milk, and the kettle is on!

Another Nice Morning

.... Yes I was technically supervising Maya, but spent much of the morning in an adjoining room.  Just keeping tabs on her, with an occasional reminder from toime to time.  She did OK ... However I do have to point out that I don't think I have ever been in such a quiet clinic, and there were no related patients, as there often are ... so we shall see.  I have one more week of double clinics with her (so 2 clinics) and then she is by herself, and I lose the shifts.

I have pottered off to the shop this afternoon as I was low on fruit and milk ... I can cope with what I have in the fridge & the cupboard ... except for one thing, I am truly addicted to tea, and it has to have milk.  So I don't panic if I am missing other things, after all there is always another type of food available, but tea-bags and milk are complete essentials!

Now I want to spend some time on icon making ... I seem to have fallen behind over this last week.  But, before I go -

20. What do a lot of people have very strong opinions about, even though they know very little about it?
Politics ... which is why I don't get involved in debates like that

See you tomorrow x

Happy Star Wars Day

Yes, today is Star Wars Day, so hope you are all polishing your light sabres!

I hadn't photographed anything for the prompt over at [livejournal.com profile] photo_scavenger until this morning.  And for breakfast I, as always, had a couple of mugs of tea.  (And as it's Star Wars Day today I used my Star Wars mug, of course)

It was actually a good clinic this morning - 5 relatively normal people ... so does that mean I have to worry about what tomorrow's patients will be like!

It is still a very cold wind, but at least the sun is out.  I have had a short walk this afternoon before turning on the pc.  And, before I turn off again -

4. How would you describe your last disappointment?
I suppose having to cancel meeting up with Brenda on Saturday ... chance to see her, and to do some sight-seeing wold have been lovely, so was upset that had to be cancelled

Well that's me up to date - now I'm going to make some icons as I am signd up on a couple of comms (wish me luck!)

Enjoy your day

Today is the 94th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II ... I am proud to be a Royalist, she is an amazing lady

I said there were 2 things to celebrate ... well, the second is that it is National Tea Drinking Day ... and anyone who knows me knows that I am not human if I haven't stared the day with a pot of tea ... here I have just re-filled the mug for the third time

So I hope everyone else finds at least 2 things to celebrate today

11 Do you prefer coffee or aeroplanes? If you had to choose to eradicate one of the two from all human history which would go?

Well I am a tea drinker, who loves travelling ... so think that's an easy question ... "Goodbye Coffee"

Yay - Day 5 is over .... I now have to wait till next week to know whether I have passed.

It is hot working in a hospital .... and although I drink lots, when I got in about an hour ago, my Daddy saved my life - he made me a mug of tea!

You know I love icons - I've said it over the years on LJ - I love the personalisation that LJ has, and it's great to be able to have icons that suit what I'm talking about ... or just to make a boring post look pretty!

The icon meme is always going round, so it's good to get different people to ask me to explain different images.  This latest set was chosen by jaded_jamie and include a good range .... but glad to say, James still sneaks in!

Yet Another Icon Meme

I've said it before ... I'll say it again.  I do love icons - one other plus of LJ.  It's great to have a picture to go with what I'm scribbling about ... whether as a post, or to reply to my friends.

So, yes, I bought some more space and am slowly filling it up - although I still ahve gaps to go.  It's also great to now keep my Christmas and Easter ones there all the time, without having to lose others to upload them.

Last week I opted to play this meme again - and asked [livejournal.com profile] jaded_jamie  to choose 6 icons for me to talk about.  He chose -

A Major Crisis!!!

Saturday, February 7th, 2009 12:09 pm
debris4spike: (Not pleased.)

Thats what happened this morning.

First of all I proved how ill I really must be as I gave my bathroom a good clean!

Then ... cup of tea called!

I was running low on milk - so a 3 minute stroll to the local supermarket was next ... and that is when disaster struck

NO MILK

Grgggaaaaggggghhh

Still, I got the car out drove to the next nearest and managed to fight my way to the dwindling supplies - so hopefully the snow will have thawed over Dartmoor before I need the next lot.  Most things in life I can cope without - but a cup of tea (and news of James) are 2 things that are necessary!!!!!
