Last month I bought the 2 sets of V on DVD .... and am going to watch the last episode tomorrow when I get in from work.

This months set of icons for round 12 of scifi20in20 were a bit different, having no set theme ... although the observant may notice that my Category set has a "bit" of a theme going on. Hope you enjoy them.

We have another Bank Holiday, so while Dad is taking Jiffy for his walk (and Mum is having a snooze) I'm grabbing some more on-line time ... and doing a meme that I snagged from eternal_flyers 


Your main fandom of the year?

Over the last few years my main Fandom hasn't changed - it's still BtVS ... and more especially the Spike ~ Buffy storyline.

However early this this I watched the repeats of The Vampire Diaries .... and loved it.  So, I'm now enjoying season 2.  I can honestly say I am a fan of this show - good stories, a good story line .... and one of the actors in particular  is pretty "easy on the eye".

This Autumn they have also been showing the re-make of V, and I'm glad I started watching that.  I loved the original series, but this is also great - some great stories and characters you can love, and hate.

A bit focussed on a few shows - but I tend to be a boring, stuck-in-the-mud type of person!

Day 17 - Favorite mini series

Todays choice was actually fairly easy ... and was presumably a popular choice overall, as it has been re-filmed. However I am choosing the original.

V, the Mini-series was a V, a 2 part opener and then had 3 episodes for V : The Final Battle.

It was about aliens who arrived on earth, lucking stunning, and offering "peace" :-

Much of the background music, other than the theme was also a winner with me, as it was taken from the last movement of Beethoven's Fith Symphony ... stunning music, and apropriate as the Roman numeral for 5 is V ... and the opening bar's beat is used for the morse code of V ... V for Victory.
