What - No Milk

I worked this morning and sadly one of the patients was a total twit (well that's being polite!)  It was an odd clinic over all ... really easy, but seemed to go really slowly for some odd reason.

Once home I had lunch, sorted some of my garden (it was so lovely to be out in the sunshine for a short time), did my weekly exercise session, and then went to the shops ... and, no milk!

So does that mean a milk shortage, or was it on special offer this morning and I missed it, or was there some magic health-giving recipe on the radio this morning that I missed????

Oh well I have enough for some tea later, and breakfast tomorrow, but after work Lidl had better have re-stocked otherwise there is going to be an explosion (or something)

As I have a longish day tomorrow I may not be able to get on-line, so am doing 2 days, to keep up ...

11. What is the difference between living and existing?
There is a verse in the Bible that talks of "living llife to the fullest" ... and that is the difference. However fit. or not, you are, it is in having interests, those that are not to do with work/shopping etc. So, yes, there is a difference. Existing is moment to moment ... Living is thinking of "later"

12. Would you break the law to save a loved one?
No question ... yes

Hope all is well with you all x

... My bar of chocolate that I have just eaten!!

Well I have had dinner, and done a 3 mile walk at a brisk pace, and after a long clinic session I decided the only answer was to eat chocolate!  So work + exercise eliminated those extra calories!

Hope you are all having as fun an afternoon as I have done so far!

Well, while on-line I will catch up with the meme ...

13. What would you miss if you stopped using your smartphone for 48 hours?
LOL - a) I don't have a smartphone, and b) there isn't web site I go to every time I turn on my computer (well except for LJ, of course!!).So, no, it doesn't even worry me if my phone isn't even charged up, as there is no one who I "need" to be in contact with.

Right, now I must look and see what today's Snowflake is

Might even get me to use an exercise bike!!!

Walking can add minutes to your life.   This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $7000 per month.

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

The only reason I would take up walking is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.

I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing..

I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks.   Haven't lost a pound.   Apparently you have to go there.

Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise', I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say, 'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'

If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.

I know I got a lot of exercise the last few years,...... just getting over the hill.

We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads and because it doesn't fit it's dropped to our hips.   That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

AND

Every time I start thinking too much about how I look, I just find a Happy Hour and by the time I leave, I look just fine.

Wow, thank goodness I had a positive thought in my Bible reading!

I woke, remembering a Dream ...

It was my 50th Birthday Party (yes ... next year!) ... and I was having a "very small" get together, with music.  But, the musician asked for a packet of Chicken crisps .... and do you think I could find any, anywhere ...

So, I woke in a panic (but it's OK, I have some in the cupboatd!)

Then I decided I ought to start the Keep Fit DVD I bought a couple of months ago ... not riding I need exercise.

So, I started it ... and was exhausted after only the Warm Up!

So, it looks as if I haven't staryed as fit as I thought I was ... or maybe I have been kidding myself!  Still I shall try to persevere doing the routine (as far as I can) a couple of times a week ... or, at least that's the plan!

Off to drink a very long glass of water ... and maybe eat some crisps ...

My mother has sent me this exercise routine as an email - so wonder if it is what Spike uses - 'cos he does have a gorgeous body!!!!  (I'm single - I'm allowed to notice!)

SERIOUS SHOULDER EXERCISES

This is to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders - and it is suggested that you do it 3 times a week.

Stand on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room on either side of you.

With a 5lb (" 1/2 kg) potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold there for as long as you can.  Try to reach a full minute, then relax.  Each time you do this you'll find that you can hold this position for a little longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to a 10lb (5kg) potato sack.

Then 50lb, then 100lb - where you should eventually be able to hold one in each hand for a full minute.

Once you feel confident at that level ... put a potato in each of the sacks!!
