Just seen Dr Who on iPlayer while doing some Star Trek icons .... makes me happy to see the show continue, having first watched the Daleks from behind the sofa back in the early 60's!

So far I think I already prefer this Doctor to the last one!

Have to agree with you. Never quite 'took' to Matt Smith, he just seemed too young to me but I like what I've seen so far of Capaldi. Will wait and see what's to come.

I think in the first couple of seasons Matt Smith was trying to hard to be David Tennant, he forgot to be his own person.

I thought Peter Capaldi did quite well, and I think he can only get better from here! I was very happy that they let him keep his Scottish accent! The Doctor has never been Scottish, played by Scots, yes, but the character has never been Scottish! I think it might be a tribute to Amy!

I was impressed, and I hadn't really expected much as Matt Smith made me lose focus a bit on the show.

(Not a fan of Amy either, which didn't help!)
