Easter Parade

Just a short question.

This evening we watched "Easter Parade" and were wondering whether the Easter Parade still takes place - and if so, is it still along the same lives - 5th Avenue and posh hats ... etc.

Not living in NYC I can't say for sure but I'd bet it's gone since the Easter dressing-up and parading around at a local Mall here has been gone for decades.

It's sad when traditions disappear.

Thanks for that link - good to know the tradition is still there, even if not quite the same as Fred Asaire would have been in.

It's still around. I know a woman who participates every year. She has a 4 year old daughter and they both dress up and go to the parade.

Smaller than it used to be, but yes, it's still on 5th Avenue. I watched that movie this morning, too, while getting ready for church. It's lovely, isn't it?

It's a great film - I love films of that era.
