Day To Tyntesfield

As I said, Brenda and I went to Tyntesfield ... and had a lovely walk round the grounds, as well as seeing a couple of the rooms

I love seeing the 'below stairs' rooms. Some lovely ceilings there!

What was interesting is that the family lived in the house until 2001, so there was also a microwave. So it was good to see how servant's halls had "evolved"

What a lovely place. That butler's pantry looks larger than an apartment/flat I lived in years ago. :)

That snowdrop was amazing ... and the only flower we saw.

Yes, Brenda commented on her first flat, as well!

The details on the architecture and interiors like the chandelier hanger design are just amazing...those wood carvings too!!!!

Those wood carvings go all the way round that room.

It was such a pity we couldn't see any more of the rooms as there are some other amazing wood carvings.

Means we have to have another day out, at some point ;)

Yes, we managed to keep warm - although at least the icy wind that we had over the weekend had dropped down.
