How Can It Be November?

debris4spike.... I mean, what happened to the rest of the year?
I decided to have an internet free day yesterday - and actually did a through clean of one of my display cabinets. I have 2 large cabinets in my lounge, and to say they are full is an under-statement. So the smaller of the 2 is now clean ... everything was taken out and clean, although I didn't clean the silver/brass ... so I suppose I would say a 95% success. However I am happy with that.
At present the house smells lovely as I have just got a ginger cake out of the oven ... just hope that it tastes as good as it smells! (Yes, I have been watching Bake Off)
Now I have more cleaning to do, although whether I start on cabinet #2 is questionable (maybe I will just do the exposed surfaces, and leave the actual cabinet for another day!
But, before I go -
31. Hallowe’en or All Hallows' Eve is today. Have you ever played traditional games like bobbing for apples on Hallowe’en?
The only time I have done anything for Halloween were the couple of years I was working at a riding stables … yes, we had apple bobbing, which I am no good at!!!
1. Today is the start of Deepawali (also known as Diwali) - the Hindu Festival of Light. Have you ever seen any rangoli made of flowers/coloured sand/coloured rice etc?

I have to vote on an icon comp I was in, so will pop over to DW to do that ... then check up on whatever you are all doing.
