Now That's A "Day" I Can Get Behind!
Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 03:26 pmToday is National James Day ... what a great day to celebrate. There "may" be an actor with that name who I could celebrate ... or I could just say that it was Dad's 2nd name.
So many of the days seem very random ... I mean, look at some of the questions on the year meme, but thinking about James is, I think, a brilliant idea!
I do hope that you all had a great Easter.
I managed to get the garden sorted, and enjoyed Lily's first birthday, as I have already posted,
Easter Day was spent at Nick & Brenda's, and all the family in England who were in England were there and all went to Church together before a great Sunday lunch ... and while we were eating Dan & Meg phoned. They have just travelled to the Philippians, from Australia, so it was good to all be "together" despite the mileage.
Yesterday I met up with Tim & Claire and Brenda in the city of Wells, which is lovely and we had great weather, which is a shock for a Bank Holiday, and we also laughed a lot ... photos to follow.
I worked this morning ... but now want to get on with some photo sorting, so will close here ...
10 – International Safety Pin Day: Invented in 1849, where would we be without them? Or do you think there is less of a place for them in modern life than there was in the past?
There's always a place for a safety pin ... even if it's only to hold on my paper poppy come November 11th!
11 – Eight Track Tape Day: Eight Track Tape Day recognizes an era that was here and gone in a short 20 years. Are you old enough to remember eight tracks? Some technologies, like the Betamax, never caught on even though they were the superior product. Can that be said of eight tracks?
Yes, I remember 8-track, and Betamax.
12 – World Hamster Day: Did you know there are 24 different species of hamsters? Have you ever had a hamster as a pet?
No, but a pet-sat a couple when I was a mid teen ... and they survived the week!!
Right, let's get on x
