Sorry Ma'am I wasn't online here yesterday - but I do hope that you had a good 95th Birthday.



It must have been very hard for her - with all the family mourning, especially her, and social distancing.  95 years old should have been celebrated, but it was not to be, this year.

I had a dentist appointment as they are still trying to track down why I have pain in one of my teeth ... there is no reason that the dentist can find, but penicillin hasn't made a difference.  But I have to go back again in 2 weeks to see if my new dentist can sort it out.  She is then going to drill through into the root and hope to find a reason, if not, it will be a temporary filling to see if that works.

I had a good walk after lunch today, and then have done some housework.  So it's been a good day today (so far)

Now it's time to do some art work ... I am making some icons for somein30 and seasonal_spuffy
But, I have a couple of days to catch up -


21. What's the best concert you've ever been to?
I have only been to hear James Marsters & Ghost of the Robot.  I think the first James one will remain in my mind forever.
I have played in concerts in a classical orchestra, and a Military-based Wind Band.  All of them were good, and scary, in equal parts.

22. Do you need money to be happy?
More money means more travel - what's not to like!!
However, no, money is not something I need to be happy.

Strange that the dentist can't find why your tooth hurts. I haven't been in a year, but now that I've had both jabs, I'll have to make an appointment. They weren't taking any precautions - full patient load, business as usual through the entirety of the past year, so I was like nope. My teeth feel fine, not setting foot in there!

It's been raining here, so not the greatest walking weather, although it's no longer freezing. We had a nice previous week, but the trees were trying to kill me with pollen. I was outdoors, despite that, as I'd been going stir crazy being indoors alone through the cold season. Thankfully, tree pollen season will be coming to an end soon, and I'll be able to enjoy the sun returning.

Your icons are impressively sharp. I've never been good at making them the size for this site. I lose too much detail resizing images down so small, and if I try to sharpen them, the pixels stand out. I don't know what magic you are using!

I had a similar problem soon after Mum died with the tooth. However can't think what can have flared this up!

We have had the dryest April on record, apparently. I don't usually get problems with pollen, so hope this year doesn't change that for me!

I tend to work on the images while large, so sharpen thema bit, colour etc ... then take it down to the 100 px. With problems in my eyes that really works out easier ... although it was just how I "invented" my icon-work.

Could it be one of your nerves in your mouth has shifted? I have problems when they try to deaden the nerves on one side of my mouth. They can't seem to hit the nerve enough to deaden it so they can work on certain teeth.

I do feel bad for the Queen. To lose the love of your life and not have the comfort of your loved ones close to you. So difficult.

Yes, the Queen looked so lost at the funeral - so sad she has to be so isolated with the pandemic. She's an amazing lady
