Sorry - I "Dipped" Again
Friday, September 25th, 2020 12:08 pmIn managing to keep working, even though it's only a few hours 4 times a week, I haven't really done much else - so sorry, both in not catching up with you all as I had planned, but also behind in the meme ... so here is catch-up time.
21 What’s a big pet peeve you have?
Bad manners ... there is NO excuse at all for that.
That, and obeying "the rules" ... I work in a hospital, and the number of people who remove their masks on a regular basis is frustrating. Their excuse is that it's hot ... my answer is, yes, I afgree, but we are doing it for a reason ... Annoying!
22 Do you have an inanimate object that you have given a name?
Only teddy bears, and dolls.
23 What’s your favorite Elton John song, and why?
Not really a fan, at all ... although some of his early songs are "OK"
24 If you could choose any animal as a pet (all problems aside), which one would you have and why?
Well I do love dogs, and horses ... but maybe in "fantasy land" it would be a tiger, or a giraffe!
25 What’s something “everyone” knows how to do that you’ve never actually done?
Smoking, riding a motorbike ... but I suppose the ultimate answer would be, sex!!!
As to other news, with illness and "pandemic" there is no real news.
Day off today - so have wasing on the line, ready to iron later. Have made a couple of icons for the new comm somein30 ... and after I have done this I will give my bathroom a good clean, but that will be it.
I spoke to my GP yesterday and he is going to refer me to the Chronic Fatigue "people", although he doubts they will be able to help as I am doing most of the things that I should do ... still worth seeing if there is anything I am missing.
I still have Jiffy with me ... but poor boy is very skinny now, as although he is still eating, it's very little. But he is stillhappty to have a couple of short strolls, and loves cuddling up to me overnight, so some positives in the sadness of seeing him age.
The family are all keeping well, except for nephew #2 who managed to dislocate his knee playing football. So that's a worry at present, but work are being good at supporting him, so that's important.

Date: 2020-09-26 09:22 pm (UTC)I hate that Jiffy is having a difficult time. I cried when our Max got so skinny when he had cancer. It was difficult watching him. Yet he was still his loving self. He passed in his sleep. I miss him so much.
I knew what animal you would choose.😁

Date: 2020-09-30 01:34 pm (UTC)I certainly treasure every extra day I have with him. I just pray that he will also slip away - I am scared of the thought I would have to "make decisions". But so far, very weak, but not in a ny pain, and still enjoys a stroll
*g* ... nice to have friends who know me *hugs*
