Such An Appropriate Question For Today
Friday, May 10th, 2019 11:58 am12 What subject were you worse at at school?
LOL - on a day when I post art work, there are 2 answers to the question. My second worse subject was art. For one thing I am colourblind, which teachers found weird (in a day when our main medium was the basic 5 paint colours and a mixing palette), however, my art teacher also said that I found it impossible to draw a straight line, even using a ruler!
However, my worst subject, by far, which I actually had a teacher refuse to have me in her class I was so bad, was English.
So, yet again, I have to thank BtVS, Spike, Spuffy, and ultimately James for getting me writing, yes my first way to LJ was in writing an alternate end to BtVS, and ... as they say ... the rest is history. Sorry, Miss Bodmin, but I do enjoy writing (even if it's ages since I have done any.
Yep, English and Art teachers go and look at my 2 other journals,

Date: 2019-05-11 06:02 am (UTC)If I knew what kind of colorblindness you have, I would now be very tempted to run some of your artwork through a simulator so I could see an approximation of how it looks to you. (If I'm being insensitive, just ignore me, and sorry.)

Date: 2019-05-11 03:23 pm (UTC)That is probably the nicest thing anyone has said. Some people just accept, others just think it's weird.
Hard to describe though.
I know I don't see yellow, as it looks like lime green, and most browns look like dark green. However a reddy green will look purple, as will all shades of grey. So I suppose when it's described as red-green, I see those colours. I can see a pure blue, but add another palette and I automatically see either grenn or purple, again. Don't know if it makes sense, but that should give a bit of an idea.
I am just aware of the problem now, but over the years Mum was great at picking up when I said the wrong colour, or bought the wrong colour clothing.
