One thing I have learnt doing this meme is that it is the simple things that cheer me up.

This morning my shower just made me happy ... and happy to realise how simple gadgets that we take for granted make our lives so much easier!

Oh yes - the facility for a hot shower is underestimated until you can't have one ;)

It is one luxery that we take for granted ... but first thing ina morning, you just can't beat a nice warm shower

Sorry I haven't commented lately. RL screws with me again.

I often tell people who have never visited or lived in a different country that they should be grateful for simple pleasures of life like hot running water. One of the apts we lived when we lived in Germany had no hot water heaters like we have here in the States. Each sink and the bath tub had containers you filled and then heated. It took over an hour to fill a bath tub with sort of hot water. Then you had to pump the water out with a built in pump. No shower at all. When I used the washer I had to wash in one container and then put the wet clothes in another one to spin them sorta dry. Doing dishes, taking a bath or laundry was quite the job.

Not to worry - hope that things are going OK ... RL can be a pain, can't it?

When I am at Mum & Dad's they are not great at having hot water on all the time ... so I miss that then. But they can't join the 21st century on some things ... so can understand where they are coming from
