Cary Grant in a swim suit, then scared by the driving of Grace Kelly (which sadly came true in later years) ... what film can I be talking of other than To Catch A Thief

It is worth watching to see the scenery alone ... but add the costumes and a strong story then this film is a true winner. Cary Grant (in case you don't know) plays a reformed jewel thief who is suspected of returning to his former occupation, and must ferret out the real thief in order to prove his innocence.

It was also Grace's last film! She was soon to marry her prince and leave the film world.

Great choices....love my Cary. I can see JM in a remake of this one in his role.

It is a great film - and so ironic that the scene on that road was filmed, for her to later die there. In her dress at the party she certainly looks like a Princess-in-waiting.

Cary Grant was my first actor-crush ... and I see a lot of him in James ... most of the films I have listed would be great for him, although I still love the originals.

A beautiful film. For all his wicked ways, Hitchcock was a brilliant director. Cary is so very tan in this while Grace is so very pale.

Yes, that scene on that road does break your heart knowing what we do now. Grace was a lovely woman. Such a sad ending for her life.

I hadn't noticed that about the colours, although my image of her is very serene and smooth, while his is active and harder.

Yes as I watch the scene, while enjoying it for the scenery and the reaction of the 2 stars it brings a lump to my throat.
