Let's go back to an earlier Cary Grant, again teamed with Katheryn Hepburn ... and to Holiday a film made in 1938 and which allows him to show off some of his acrobatic skills ... including a back flip.

That clip is actually the story in 3 1/2 minutes!

He falls in love with a girl from a rich family. His unorthodox plan to go on holiday for the early years of his life is met with skepticism by everyone except for his fiancée's eccentric sister (Katheryn) and long suffering brother.

It is a fun story - and great to see Cary Grant doing the acrobatics that was his original training.

Watch it at some point - a nice relaxing evening.

They do make a great combination - wonder if it would have worked as well as they got that much older (although Philadelphia Story is fun as well)

All this movie viewing has to wait til after the Olympics.

How about the great showing of the British Dressage and Show Jumping teams! I caught a lot of the jumping but little of the dressage. I like to watch dressage, but I am fairly clueless about the scoring. At least, my many years of riding do make me cognizant of how difficult the moves and training are. Jumping can be watched on a more superficial level. Faults either on jumps or time can be understood without knowing about lead changes, strides between fences, rider adjusting speed of horse, collecting horse, etc.

I never understood the scoring either. I did a few simple dressage tests ( working at a riding stables, we had a few in-house competitions) ... getting the correct transition at the correct letter is a challenge. I also hated not being able to chat to the horse!

Yes, jumping ... I have cleared a few jumps without a horse!!
