The film is a brilliant story, based on a book, but set in a time that so few films are. The scenery is stunning - as is the soundtrack ... oh, and daniel Day Lewis isn't bad, either!

Date: 2010-08-28 06:52 pm (UTC)The scenery is indeed lush and breathtaking. My husband grew up near the location for the film. I also adored the music, every especially the violin dance. Also, the song, "I Will Fing You", by Clannad is so beautiful.
