When you know someone is feeling unwell, I want to give them a hug and flowers.

Hugs are just great at making the person feel special - something you really miss out on if you have a fairly lonely life.  So, would help people feel better.  However in James case, as I read the reports coming from CDS, he is not up to any contact, and is in a lot of pain.

Part of me wishes I could be there so that, at the very least I could speak to Steve and find out what the real injury is .... but part of me would find it very hard to see James in pain and not be able to help him.  All that training, and years of qualification. yet I wouldn't be able to help him at the time he needs it.

An even greater part of me wishes that he had decided to stay in USA and rest.  However, James is good to his fans, and to cancel would have been very hard for him.  I hope that he is able to relax as much as possible ... although it must be very hard for him.  I believe Patricia is over, so it sounds as if things are working out with them, so I hope that he is able to enjoy himself as much as he is able.

So, although I won't be seeing him my heart really goes out to him - and I am sending, my love and prayers ... and a bunch of flowers from the garden to brighten his day.

Pretty flowers. The leaves (and forrest) have beautiful colors right now too. Maybe there are some news at CDS? I've read something in a newsletter and there was mentioned (quoted):

Wendy did post the following on her group, JMConAps:

"James is in a great deal of pain and can't sit, he has damaged his spine and he won't be sitting for the autographs tomorrow apparently. He had to lean against the wall while he talked - however he was in good spirits and talked a great deal."

It seems to me that James suffered more than just a bump on the head. I remember him (or maybe Himber) saying something about James having nerve damage,(in his back? in his hand), when he did Grand Slam, in 2008. And, there's always been something floating around about James having a bad back.

Whatever the injury is, I hope it can heal without surgery."

I second the last part. Must be difficult for him to do the Con; hope he won't damage his health but if I was a fan that would attend the con? I'd be glad that he managed to come.
And he cares for his fans.

Duh... and you're looking for a new job. Perfect solution! ;))

But you're right, he needs someone to watch out for him able to help at once. Would be helpful, especially at the moment. Or take the time he needs to heal.

He told someone he has a blown disc and that it's been injured before.

Beautiful flowers! :)

Beautiful flowers and still in such lovely numbers and condition for the time of year.

This certainly can't have been the most comfortable con for James, who probably should have stayed in the States and got treatment for his bulging disc. Still, he's not one to want to disappoint his fans, and from a selfish point of view I've been enjoying the reports and pics coming from the con (though he does look to be in some pain, poor thing).

He says it's something he's done before, so presumably once a disc has slipped it becomes more prone to doing the same thing again?

That is a lovely flowery post for James. I was sorry to hear how he was suffering from his injury, slipped disk can be right painful ( I have the same problem and it is one of the reasons that made me stay away from online life for the past two weeks )
So very courageous and generous of him to do the convention still.
I was extremely happy to read that his sweetheart was with him , maybe she will accompany him back to the Caprica set. I hope most of all that James can have some time to rest before filming again.
