Weekend Catch-Up!
Sunday, November 9th, 2008 09:50 pmHope that you all had a great weekend - Mine was pretty good.
On Saturday, I went to an osteopathic conference as part of my 34 hours annual CPD. (For those who don't know, most of my work is dealing with people who have back problems) ... So, guess what? Yes, by Saturday evening my old back injury was killing me!
So much so, that on Sunday I spent the morning lying down, rather than at Church ... I just stood up at 11 am for the 2 minutes silence ... other than that I rested, but thankfully I am feeling quite a bit easier now.
So now I am back from Mum and Dad's, having had an awful drive home in wind and rain - but to see a message up from James.
So I can squee that he has a new project coming soon, and also the possiblity of further trips next year. So, all in all glad that he appears happy - Hope that the rest he was able to get over the summer with the kids really helped him to re-charge his batteries.
On a further update - I also have Jiffy's latest picture - one that I took on Friday - He is sitting with his teddy, that is called Ginger. Although he destroys all his other toys, Ginger is always around, but very well cared for ... Jiffy is a good daddy!
Hope the coming week will be great for you all.

Date: 2008-11-09 10:28 pm (UTC)Jiffy is funny - the squeaker in a squeaky toy only lasts hours, the toy a few weeks - this bear is 18 months old - and still squeaks! He looks after his baby ... and is very jealous if you pick it up to move it!

Date: 2008-11-10 03:24 am (UTC)Also, I blame you for my new Torchwood obsession!! I've nearly watched the entire first season, and it's brilliant. I can't wait to get to James in season 2! :D

Date: 2008-11-10 08:06 am (UTC)Torchwood - hope you are enjoying ... thereare some good season 1 episodes ... but it all really comes together in season 2! And ... yay James!!! Have you his 2nd album? The song "Layabout" was written the first time in was in Cardiff to film episode 1 ... and mantions Tosh by name. BTW - Have you watched Dr Who as well?

Date: 2008-11-14 02:44 am (UTC)I have watched Dr. Who. My problem with Who is I don't know where to start! I LOVE the current doctor, though. I caught the new season opener "the Titanic" yesterday on BBCA. :) So I'm all gelled in with Torchwood-- how far back would you recommend I go on "Who?"

Date: 2008-11-14 08:09 am (UTC)The first season was the previous Dr ... and although I don't like him too much ... love David Tennant ... but at the end of that season is a 2 or 3 parter that describes more about Cap'n Jack.
There is also an episode mid season 2 that describes how Torchwood started.
However as far as I remember you can see each season separately ... I saw season 2 then 1 (!) and din't really get lost! If you watch it at it goes and need to ask a Who or a Why then do!
