The Rift

When The Rift was first announced I made the sad decision that I could not afford to go.

Over the last few weeks I have watched as the day has grown and spread rapidly - and I am amazed with how much Steve has been able to organise for the day.  I hope that all of you who are going will have a really great day - and I am truly jealous of you all.

As it turns out, Toni's daughter Stacey is having her engagement part that night (in Basingstoke) for those who don't live in England the distance is a reasonable drive!!  But as her honourary "Aunt" I can't not be there - so at least that will help me take my mind off the rest of you who can spend time with James and others from Torchwood.

Hope that James had a good time at this weekend - haven't found the revues yet - and hope that in this coming week he will be able to spend some time relaxing - and catching up with his kids after his hectic film schedule.

Sorry for being a no show, I'm happy you feel good and that the stuff with your blood turned out ok (i hope i didn't misread it). Hi - glad to hear from you - but I know things are hectic in your life at present - so no worries about commenting.

Yes - so far, all the blood tests came back normal and the iron has kicked in so I am feeling a lot more human again!

Yes - I shall really miss The Rift - but the event and the friends - but shall see you at Union Chapel ... are you going to Collectomania as well - I am there on the Saturday.

Have fun at the event ... JEALOUS !!

Yeah, i had my first real day without doing anything yesterday, since it started on the 4th of April with the flat. Long hours at work and then to the flat to work and the weekends spend working from morning to night. It are only 10 days so far but it feels like weeks. This evening I'm going to buy and pre-order the furniture and tomorrow i can start painting the living room.

I'll be at the CM from Saturday to Monday. I'm sharing a room with the usual suspects hawera latestartercds and elenathl in MK. See you at the union chapel and MK :D *hugs*

Yes - the more I read about The Rift the more jealous I get! Still it will be good to celebrate with Stacey and John.

Thanks for that link - I am a member ... although always semm to get myself lost somehow ... I have sussed out LJ (mostly) but still get lost in CDS!!

Aww - it's a shame that you won't be at the Rift but hopefully i'll catch up with you at the concerts - are you doing the Borderline as well as Union Chapel ?

No not Borderline - but coming up on the Friday morning for Union Chapel and then staying overnight and goint to CM on the Saturday

Oh, I know how that feels (remembers the first Point gig when I had a family wedding to attend). Still, I'm sure you'll have a great time at the engagement bash and won't spare us Rift-ers a thought until after the event.

And I'll second Deb's encouragement to come out and play at CDS - I never thought I'd have the courage to actually start chatting there rather than just lurking, but I seem to have overcome that. *g*

I really do hope that you enjoy The Rift ... but will be thinking of you all ... and jealous!!! Honest ... Just don't tell Stacey and John!
