I Am Going Mad(der)

I am trying to give my treatment room a clean and paint the study area, which I can do slowly and as it needs to be done then no work is actually a good thing (well, providing the bills don't arrive too often!)

Anyway - I thought I would put on "Full Moon" so I could listen to James while I work.

Fine - so far, so good.

As I started the job my phone rang and it was Ros asking how I was now.  we chatted for some time.

When I came back my pc was working ... James was talking.

I let his voice wash over me - until I realised that the tracks weren't playing in the correct order.  I got annoyed - glared at the pc, took out the CD, and even re-started the computer.

Then I turned the "shuffle" off!!!!!!!!!

Yes - I love his singing, but there is something about his voice that just washes over me. When I first heard these CDs I had problems concentrating on the story(LOL) - now I know the stories, so I can enjoy his voice, with a bit of the story thrown in!!

They are the first 4 of the Harry Dresdon books (have you read them - or even heard them?)

That's a thing I don't have at the moment (but when busy reading and not having long to drive and watching TV I don't have much opportunity to hear it.

Yes - I was certainly having a silly day ... and with James talking "backwards" ... the final straw

Yes - I have all 4 of the books and last Autumn had them on in my car - it takes about 1 1/4 hours each way to Mum and Dad so that is ideal ... even was listening as I drove to Cardiff as well!

I don't usually have the shuffle on ... thats my excuse!!!!!! Normally I like to hear the CD the way I normally listen to it - but earlier in the week had a regular CD on and thought I would confuse my ear ... didn't expect to confuse my brain as well!!

You had it on shuffle you poor thing!
I did that today when I was cleaning my bedroom.
I put a CD in my alarm-clock/CD player and hit play. Then I set a book on top of the clock/player. I kept cleaning thinking "Ooo this is a nice song. I like this song." Then I got into a groove and kinda stopped paying attention to the music for a few minutes. Then all of the sudden I noticed that the same song was playing over and over and over.
When I set the book on the player it pressed the "repeat" button :-D
