Just A Busy Day Doing Not Much!

That's seems to have been my day today!

It started with a trip to the dentist as I had broken off the cap on a tooth - which had been on for 4 years.  The dentist told me that I should order a full crown as otherwise it might notice on the edge of a full grin ... So having tried to sell me on that idea, he then suggested I have the root and the remains of the tooth removed.  Which, to my way of thinking, proved that he was just trying to get a better deal from me.  I insisted that he just repaired the damage - which is what he did.  So I came out with a repaired tooth, similar to how it had been over the last 4 years - and still some money in my purse!!

On other news I then went into Mum and Dad's so that I could go to the shops with Mum and also mow their lawn - Both are things I normally do on a Saturday, but tomorrow I am escorting a student to Heathrow so can't be around.

I had to go to the shops as I needed to buy STARBURST ... yes couldn't get it locally to me.  So now I have something to read on the train home ... or just a picture to drool over !!!

Yeah, you have to keep a straight head = be careful that you have a doctor that doesn't keep his purse in mind instead what is best for the patient (and his/her purse).

Yes - did you get your doctors stuff sorted out with your pills and the insurance?

*nods* I got the pills like before on my insurance (with me having to pay a part like it is here). The doctor is on holidays now; I'll wait till I a new ones and see if she wants to change them. Or if she has forgotten about what she wanted to check.

I'm happy to report that I escaped from the dentist unscathed today. Mine tried to get me to go through a root canal last year, and I also passed on the offer.

Although I must admit that when I first read that you went to get Starburst I was thinking you were talking about the candy not a book.

Talking about "sweets"(!) and dentists in the same post shouldn't really go - should it! Even if I did the final damage on my tooth on a toffee!!!

Nothing really to read in the mag about James ... but the cover certainly took a lot of studying ... LOL

Dentists ... I don't mind genuine work - but just felt I was being pushed into anything to get me to spend some money!

I stood and read Starburst in Smiths - didn't think it was worth buying as I already have the pic on my computer and the transcript of the article from various places. It was nice to look at for a while though, while the girls read Dr Who magazines and Chris chose some car ones (and a copy of Loaded I found when we got home) to take away on holiday.

Glad you got your tooth repaired - and that it didn't cost an arm and a leg which is obviously what the dentist wanted.

I don't know that I would have bought it either if I didn't have the long journey to do. I actually also had printed out another of the Dresdon books - so plenty to read - but it was a VERY long day!
