Well, after a slight panic in the morning yesterday.  Exeter is doing a lot of road closures, and from where I live to get to my Church I need to do an extra 3 mile drive now.  So frustrating.  I can understand that some roads are narrow and need help, but it is so frustrating.  The road I live in was closed a couple of years ago, and even though it's wide has been left closed.  Why, I still don't know.  It is nice to live on a quieter street, but the vehicles have to drive somewhere else ... oh well, council politics have their own rules, don't they?

Having a good day, so far.  A lazy start but bread-maker is on, and shopping done, so lots of positives.

Now I have icons to make, and you lot to catch up with.  But before I start doing that I am just posting 3 icons, that I made for the latest challenge on My_Favourites over on DW ... all are ones that I took last week.

Right, as I am working all day tomorrow I will catch up -

7 – International Clown Week: The first full week of August is International Clown Week: True or False -- clowns are scary and should not be celebrated.
I am fairly "blah" about clowns, either way.

8 – International Cat Day: Are you a cat person? Have you ever had, or do you have, cats as pets? Do you have a favourite breed of cat?
Never had any cats ... but I support Tiger rehab in India ... so does that count as a partial owner?

Right, see you Wednesday.

debris4spike: (Does not like bugs - HPI)
Last night just as we were getting settled for bed a huge scream went up ... and Dad (bless him) came running.  In my room was a huge grasshopper ... and I mean BIG

When I was at school we used to have a lot of locusts around, and since then I have been very phobic about insects, grasshoppers especially.

So my Daddy killed it for me!

I have always said he is one very special man!

Day 1 - a picture of myself.
Day 2 - 20 facts about myself.
Day 3 - favourite quote.

Day 4 - What Are You Afraid Of

a)  Like many I am really phobic about spiders and insects (except butterflies) ... they all have too many legs and move toooooooooo fast!

b)  I am afraid that through something I do, or fail to do, someone I love will suffer.

c)  I am afraid of getting my face wet (I already said about that on day 2)

d)  I am afraid of losing those I love ... although for most I know I will see them again one day!

There are probably loads of other things - but that is enough to panic me for this evening!

One of my f-list, [livejournal.com profile] hell0kittyangel , posted some photos of her trip to Taiwan today.  Interesting to see a part of the world that I've never been to ... but now, after reading this sign, I don't think I will be going that way!

So, when I get my job as an International Jet-Setter, South Taiwan won't be on the list!
