How do I know that?

Well I had just been told off!

My (then) 18 month old brother and myself were playing in the garden - and we had an area of patio surrounded by a large rock garden. We had been climbing around - and I had told Nick to take his shoes off rather than ruin them in all the water ... but we left our socks on.

So -

I got told off for ruining the socks.

No appreciation that a 6 year old remembered to save our shoes from getting soaked.

Why were we playing outside?

Well Mum was busy inside - Giving birth to my baby brother Tim!!

So it was the midwife who told me off - and that is the main bit I remember about that day!!
