Challenge #2: Pets of Fandom

Loosely defined! Post about your pets, pets from your canon, anything you want!

One of the "pets" in my fandoms is Mouse ... a large dog that decided Harry Dresden would be the perfect owner. I know that Mum & Dad's last dog picked them as the went to see the litter, and one puppy wouldn't let them go. So, yes I was not surprised to see how their story began.

However he is a Temple Dog ... so not a typical pet ... and the longer the story develops, the more you see how special a boy he is. He ends up as a support dog for Maggie, Harry's daughter, and is super gentle with her. However in previous stories he has been seen to take down large monsters.

So, like all dogs, they love their family ... and given a chance devolope into an amazing character.

Harry, also had a cat ... but like most cats, Mister is independant ... and likes to think he is the boss of the household.




For those who don't know the series, they are an ongoing set of books written by Jim Butcher .... The Dresden Files

Ahhhh, I love when animals get character development and become almost necessary to the story being told. ❤️❤️

Both Mouse, and the cat, Mister, are great characters ... and the author really uses them well

Pets? No cat or dog is a pet to me. They are family and companions. Chang and Eng are mine now...always had cats.

Oh yes, Jiffy was my little man ... that's what I actually had place on his gravestone.
