The Decorations Won!!

I managed to get about half my decorations up yesterday, cleaning the house before that, as well. However, my leg was not impressed with all the standing I did. I have had my daily walk yesterday, and got in before the rain started, but I will admit it was more of a struggle than normal.

I do want to get the rest done over the next couple of days … both so I can pack away the empty boxes/wrappings etc, and also we have our family get-together on Saturday. As I can’t drive I am having to get someone collect me to take me to Tim & Claire’s, and collect the presents … so it would be good to get the decorations finished before then.

How are everyone elses plans going?

I am actually thankful that with the family do early in the month I actually have to be more organised than I am normally.

Hoever, I do need to get on ... so ....








2. Are there Christmas lights in your local town/city? Post a photo if you have one.
Yes, Exeter is lit up … sadly I haven’t yet had a chance to get in for a wander around. Maybe next week.

3. Have you ever hand made a gift (or a card) for someone?
Loads of gifts …. Knitting, crochet, even cross-stitch for the births of my 4 nephews and for Mum & Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary.

4. International Day of Banks. Do you use more than one bank for your investments/savings/general bill paying, or is everything in one place?
Mostly I leave things in one place … I can’t be bothered to chase special offers, despite what I may lose out on.




Right, let's see if I can catch up ... after all I am sitting, and the weight is off my leg at present.

I usually drive around the neighborhood just before Christmas to admire the wonderful lights and decorating. It was a tradition for me and my mom, and I've continued it.

I have to go into the city tomorrow ... and I shall take my camera with me this time.

I managed to get the international cards and my niece and nephew's presents mailed today, so I feel really good about that. We still have some decorating to do, and I haven't decided on whether I'm going to do any holiday baking, since I'll be out of town this weekend. We'll see how much gets done.

As it's only me I won't do too much baking ... well, that's the plan! I always say that and then remember stuff that Mum used to make, and get cooking after all!

Yes, Christmas is certainly brightening up the streets, day by day.
