I do love Exeter Museum ... to say that there is an eclectic mixture within the building is so, so true.  As you know, I love giraffes, well here is Gerald & and Elephant, which go together ... but the other large item on the display ... a harpsichord.  I suppose it does make you take in what you are seeing as it's hard to know what you will see next!!

What a delightfully eclectic collection. I have a couple of puzzle mugs patterned after medieval ones, but no puzzle jug.

My puzzle mugs have multiple spouts. Only one will work to get drink to your mouth, and only if you cover the correct hole on the inside rim of the mug (of course it’s an awkward one to reach). If you try to drink any other way, you get covered in beer. Mine are most similar to this one in the V&A. https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O69146/puzzle-jug-unknown/. Mine were patterned after an extant piece, but I can’t find an image of the original now.
