I love this over-mantle that was purchased as is for the house (it is 16th century)

The frieze around the library was painted by the American forces, when they were billeted here in WWII.  It follows the history of their service during the war.

I do think it would be a lovely place to be for the summer.

But I would have liked to be there in the winter with the fires lit, too; the library especially seems a place to curl up with a book and listen to the wind and rain.
