Now We Are In May
Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 03:00 pm... How has that happened?
How can we be a third of the way through the year .... a quater of the way through the century. Wow, life moves fast.
And I am all behind with replying to your comments ... I am trying to be a good girl and rest more when I am not working so I can fully get rid of the bugs. They are all but gone now, so I don't want to push things further.
I am also trying to actually get some Spring Cleaning done as well ... trying to do a small amount of thorough cleaning, again without really pushing my health.
Here we have a Bank Holiday weekend, and despite the forecast the sun is shining with clear blue skies. So I have washing on the line that is almost dry, so I have ironing to do soon.
I don't know that I will get to catch up with you all, but I am trying to catch up with your past replies, as well as sorting a couple of other things on line ... then I shall turn off the pc, until Tuesday. I am working on Monday, and hope to have a lazy morning before that . So ...
(April 31. It’s Saturday – what are your plans?
I love this extra question ... thanks
kazzy_cee. I love it because as I type this it is a Saturday, and, I am always asking for extra time, so she is obviously giving up as extra day!!!)
MAY
1. The first of May – it’s Labour Day, also known as International Worker’s Day. If you’ve retired, how long (in years) did you work for before you stopped? If you are still working, how long will it be, before you retire?
I have just over 3 years before I reach UK retirement age
2. Do you own a toolbox? What does it have in it?
Just basics … hammers, screwdrivers, pliers
3. How old is the home you live in?
It’s a rebuild – done in 2008. (I moved into the house on 2011
4. Do you often wear shorts?
Not much. I have them, and used to wear them all the time when I was on holiday.
5. Today, in 1864, Nellie Bly was born (the pen name of Elizabeth Cochrane, an American journalist). An American journalist, she is widely known for her record-breaking trip around the world in 72 days in emulation of Jules Verne's fictional character Phileas Fogg. Have you read ‘Around The World in 80 Days’ or seen a film adaptation?
I have seen the film numerous times – it was one of Mum & Dad’s favourites.
Right, I shall try and catch up with you all as much as I can.
