Trying To Catch Up

debris4spikeYesterday I ended up spending most of the morning asleep. The chest infection is trying to fight back ... just wish I could actually get some treatment for it. However 100+ years ago I wouldn't even know that treatments were possible, so that's possibly why I find it frustrating.
Work went well yesterday, although I did have the supreme oddest conversation with someone ... I often think I have heard the oddest, but it would be hard to beat this one ........
I speak to people face to face, but also answer a phone, but in the hospital, also to the police & social services ... and to members of the general public.
External calls come via a switchboard and I answer the phone with Good morning/afternoon/evening, General Enquiries.
This was an external call who politely replied Good afternoon.
So I asked how could I help.
She said "Could you tell me the time, please?"
I said that it was one minute to six ... she replied "Thank you, very much" and hung up.
Huh!!!!!!!
So, so I think that this is one of the oddest calls I will ever make.
The joys of working with the general public ... can't be totally fascinating!
I am heading back into work later ... so wonder what the day will hold. It's a shorter shift, as I finish a couple of hours earlier, then going into Exeter to meet up with Tim & Claire, so it will be good to see them and catch up properly.
So, I want to get on ... so ...
9. Do you set an alarm on an alarm clock or a phone to get up in the morning?
An alarm clock on an old phone, that I keep for bits & Pieces like that.
10. Are you a minimalist or a maximalist regarding home décor?
I am a hoarder ... I love my family history & souvenirs.
Right, I have a few icons to post and then I am going to try and catch up with you all.
