Another Bright, Chilly Day

debris4spikeI do love the chilly bright days of winter - slightly frustrating that it's got cold again after we all thought that warmer days are ahead. But there is something nice about being in sunshine ... whatever the temperature. I know Mum really struggled when the sun was shadowed, so maybe I am more like Mum than I realised!
Work went well yesterday - although I did laughingly call one of the patients a liar! She came up to register her friend's car for parking, and I just commented on the photo on the disabled badge, and she said that it had been taken recently at her birthday party ... her driver arrived then, and added that it was her 100th birthday party. WOW - I genuinely didn't believe them. If you had asked me I would have said late 70's, maybe 80! Her only moan about turning 100 is that her birthday card from The King was 3 days late arriving ... she said she had thought about going up to Buckingham Palace to collect it!
So, it's nice to be able to share positive news about the people I see.
I am off to work later, but need to go and pick up my prescription first - so nice to have an excuse to be out in the sunshine for a short time. The pharmacist is only about 5 minutes walk away, so nice and local.

14. International Day of Action for Rivers – a day to ensure rivers are clean and available to all. Are there any rivers or streams near where you live?
the park that is 5 minutes walk from here has a stream on 2 sides of it ... leading to a river!
Right, there's shopping to do!
