The "Joy" of Being Colourblind!

This set of icons was made for fandom10in30  and I chose to use Blake's 7 Season 2 images. However that's where my positive vibes fail! The theme is The Four Temperament Ensemble and as that means it's colour based I am unsure how well they actually fit into the tropes. Most of the time I can either ignore, or get round, the fact I am colour-blind ... but then I hit a challenge like this one. Still I do it, as if I ignore any time I hit a slight hurdle I would never do anything at all!


1, 2 & 3 are Choleric
4 & 5 are Melancholic
6 & 7 are Plegmatic
8, 9 & 10 are Sanguine

All in all it's more rain today ... but seeing as I am working after lunch and into the early evening it doesn't really affect me today!

I am going to do some work on the shawl I am crochetting for Andrew & Jess's baby (due in June).  I had hoped to knit it, but after re-knitting (over 200 stitches ) row 3 & 5 about 10 times, and still ending up wrong, I decided I would fall back on the simple granny square crochet, which I think I could properly do in my sleep!  The odd thing is that I have knitted jumpres & cardigans, no problems.  Yet I couldn't sort out the long pattern.  Yet I can crochet, and have (in the past) crochetted complicated circular mats, yet I can't seem to follow a crochet pattern for anything else (even something as simple as a scarf).  Just shows how odd I really am!

Then after lunch it's work ... and then tomorrow is Sunday.  So -






15. Do you like to watch reality TV shows?
Only something like Strictly Come Dancing, Great Pottery Showdown, Great Sewing Bee & Bake Off.
I don't even think about Love Island, or shows like that.

16. National TimTam Day is today. This day is all about celebrating one of Australia’s most loved snacks, the TimTam biscuit, which first hit the shelves in 1964. Have you ever had a TimTam?
I had never even heard of them ... and ironically as I Googled the first thing that came up was that it was a percussion instrument!
So when I eventually found out what they were, the answer was "no"

I love this set! You did a phenomenal job with the cropping and overall compositions for the icons, and I personally think they all fit very well for the theme. ♥ My personal favorites are 2, 3, 4, 6, and 10. Great job!

Thanks, I love how that icon turned out, I thought I was going to chose the color yellow/gold to match their hair for the 10 icons challenge, but I realized that Red would fit much better with most of my images. lol If you want to see more of my Buffy The Vampire Slayer icons, feel free to go on my LJ and click the tag for the show.

I have often used some red with Spike - I think the red shirt has always been in my mind!

I detest reality shows other than a vet one here called Dr.Pol. I love watching the vet and his techs care for the animals. Other than that...NO. Never heard of TimTam either. Interestingly it's primarily men who are colorblind, not being able to distinguish red or green.

I don't watch the animal shows as I would get too upset to see an animal in pain ... even if only for a short time.

Yes, I have yet to meet another colourblind girl. Dad and one of my brothers had/has it mildly ... but mum was just a gene carrier. She was thoroughly tested when I was a kid. I am pretty confused colour-wise. So makes life interesting from time to time!

They help the animals get better and healed. That's the whole reason for watching it.

I am so thankful for their work ... I was also lucky that Jiffy had loved his vet and looked upon her as his "bestie"

I love the colors you used, and the compostions in your icons. 3 and 7 are my faves - the composition of 3 is awesome and the soft, dreamlike vibe + coloring in 7 is gorgeous <3

I'm not Australian, but used to have an online friend from there who ate those all the time and from what I remember, they are only available in Aus! ^^

Yes, it was odd on a generic set of questions to get such a localised question about a snack bar.
