... despite the awful weather on my drive there.  It was heavy, heavy rain.  Not nice when you are on a dual carriageway with a lot of lorries around.

Still, it was good to catch up with Toni (& her husband).  They also had her dad and step-mum with them.  So, all in all a good lunch.  It was to celebrate Toni's birthday which is actually tomorrow, but that means her celebrations spread out!

This morning I walked into Exeter as I had to sign a load of paperwork for the sale of the house that I am a trustee for.  Mum & Dad's neighbours had a few family problems (I think I have mentioned this before), so they asked if I would be willing to be a trustee, with a distant cousin.  They were good friends, especially to Mum & Dad, so I said I would.  It's been pretty complicated, but luckily for me I have had very little to do, as the other trustee is a retred solicitor, so he has done much of the stuff.  Hopefully, 18 months on, the house is now sold, so over the next few weeks everything should be finalised.

I am going to get some icons made today before I switch the computer off, again.

But, before I get on -

23. On this day in 1842 Charles Dickens arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, to start a tour of the US (he wrote about it in a travelogue: American Notes for General Circulation). Have you a favourite Dickens novel?

Had to read Oliver Twist at school, but that’s the only one I have read.
However having seen a few films I do like the story of “A Tale Of Two Cities”

24. It’s the International Day of Education – what was your favourite class in school?

Maths
I liked history, as well. Although I was never any good at remembering names, and specific dates, so was advised to drop it when I chose my “options”.

Right, let's get on x
