Just Popping In To Say Hi

Life just got a bit hectic ... I had a couple of shifts at work (hoorah for the Bank balance!) ... but I think I am still kicking off the "flu/covid" bugs from a couple of weeks ago, as I was tired. Luckily wok were afternoon shifts, so I could have lazy mornings.

I am working later today, as well, so wanted to just pop in briefly beefore heading off to get a couple of bits of essential shopping, and then off to work againn.

I promise I will catch up properly early next week ... honest.

17. What’s your favourite type of pasta shape, or do you find the perfect shape to suit the sauce you've made?
I’m not really a great fan of pasta


18. In 1957 Elvis starred in the movie Jailhouse Rock - have you seen it?
I am an Elvis fan – but haven’t seen this for many, many years.


19. It’s National Album Day - do you own any vinyl albums?
Yes – still got quite a few. I also have all of Mum & Dad’s … so a lot of classical music!


20. Did you ever own a black and white TV? When did you first watch a colour TV?
Yes, I’m old enough.
I remember when the reporters used to say what colour the Queen was wearing on an outing!

I was delighted to hear "Marie's the Name" on my car radio yesterday. That's my favorite Elvis song.

I do love Elvis' music ... although don't know what's my favourite, it seems to change from week to week, depending on what else is going on in my life.

18. I can't remember.
19. No - we haven't for the last 30 years.
20. When I was a child out TV was black and white and only got BBC! When I bought my own, when I qualified as a nurse, it was a portable black and white one, too, although I graduated to colour after a couple of years.

I remember when we first had our colour TV, one of the first films on that weekend was an old B&W one ... so we did find it amusing after days of looking forward to the new colours!
