Busy, Busy, Busy

I had a good morning at work today ... not too many upset people, which made a nice change. The time went quickly as I didn't have any volunteers for the first 3 hours ... then one turned up. Sadly she was just training, so really had to ask me for most of the answers. Yes, it was good to meet her, but on such a morning, not much help. She could really do with working at a time when there were 2 trained people around to help her.

Just walked to get some milk, and now am here for a short time.

I won't be around then until Tuesday as I am working to 11 hour days, then it will be Sunday, and working much of Monday ... so ...

3. What’s your favourite alcoholic cold drink? With or without ice?
I like most things alcoholic!!! I do like ice with it, but as they melt I tend not to have it when I am out, but here I have some re-usable ones.
I do like lemonade, a Moscow Mule .... etc, etc But please, no iced tea.

4. International Owl Awareness Day. Have you ever seen (or heard) wild owls?
No ... seen them in protection areas ... and held them there.

5. Do you still buy a real, printed newspaper?
No .... always hear the headlines on TV or radio ... so keep up with current events.
For things like the King's coronation I do buy the paper on the day, and the next one.

Oooh, you've held owls. Are they heavy?

I was surprise as to how heavy they were ... having held chickens which are light ... but they manage to fly, so that's the main thing.

yes, yes, and I do not drink alcohol. It's the most disgusting thing to me outside of cigarette smoking. Yes, we have owls around here, and I've seen the once in a while at night flying across the road or from a tree to tree. No papers...the last I saw was when my folks were alive and they used to get subscriptions.

Well, yes, I do drink ... however I have always been in the situation that if alcohol was banned tomorrow I would not actually be upset.
