Ended Up Working This Morning ...

And will be over the next 3 mornings, as well.  Great for the bank balance, anyway.  After a few weeks of no shifts, it's nice to earn some money, but not so good when I had to set the alarm this morning!!

Work went well ... mostly nice people around.   I have then had lunch, and a small walk.  So all in all a good day.

I put washing on the line earlier, so they should be dry soon, which means I will have some ironing to do soon.

Have you all been watching the Olympics?  I have been dipping in & out, so good to seethe competitions.. I watched some judo, which was fun ... I did judo for 7 years, so nice to see how it should be done!  I got as far as a blue belt.

I am also hoping to catch up with Auntie Mary in a moment... and hopefully Brenda, as well.

I agree on both points!

I'm loving the Olympics. I still get cable (which is broadcasting different events on three channels), and keep tuning in for the wonderfulness.

My dad was actually an Eagle Scout when he was a teenager and had a lot of good memories about it.

Yes, I think those who were involved in scouts etc have mostly good memories of their time. I uppose they also learn quite a lot of things, as well (even if it is assorted knots!)

Sorry - but was actually quoting nephew #3 who went to scouts for a year and said it was the only interesting thing he still remembered (we talked about it a couple of years ago)

He wasn't a very good scout then. And to make it where my dad was as an Eagle scout you don't just tie knows. Maybe you ought to read up on things before you make such a stupid comment.
