Computer-Free Yesterday

Yes, it was a computer free day yesterday.

My friend Christine came over and we caught a bus to a historic house locally, visited, then walked into the local town ... had a wander round, and caught the bus back. Over 6 miles walked, and lots of photos taken, which I will share later.

However thought I would share these 2 of recent jigsaws I have completed





This morning have had a walk to drop my prescription off ... and now am here for a time. I will hopefully sort out the photos and get them posted here later (although it might be tomorrow by the time I am organised)

23. Can you believe that Daniel Radcliffe is 34 years old today? Have you ever seen any of the Harry Potter films?
I watched the first 2, but started watching the 3rd and found the story really wasn’t for me … so haven’t seen any of the others.
24. Today at 12:51 EDT, Apollo 11 returned to Earth, after taking the first astronauts to the moon and returning them safely. Have you seen any of the moon landings on the TV?
I remember being woken up so I could watch Neil Armstrong take that “first giant step” …. And then going into the back garden with dad, and a neighbour to look up at the moon. However as a 9 year old I was disappointed not to see a mini spaceship in the surface (like in the cartoons!)
I saw bits of all the moon landings.





I do hope to get caught up with you all ... as well as answering previous comments.

Three cheers for all your walking!

I was 13 in 1969, and I remember the family grouping around the TV for the moon landing.

I do like a walk ... especially with someone so we can chat while we go.

Dad & I watched it ... Mum stayed in bed ... she thought we were mad!

I saw the first Harry Potter and read three of the books when I was incarcerated...the only reason I read them because I was there, and I was bored LOL. It's not my cup of tea but if I was much younger, maybe it would have been. I was a year old when they walked on the moon.

Hee - it's amazing what you can end up doing if you need to fill time.

The moon walk really started my fascination with sci fi, I think
