What Happened To Summer?

Had to walk into Exeter this morning ... and it was not great, and then by the time I left it was slowly raining.  So after a gorgeous day on Sunday, we are back to a typical English summer!

Work has gone well ... busy, but as my temporary contract with one of my jobs finish soon, then I will have time off ... well, except for the fact I have cleaning to do, gardening to do, and have yet to do this Spring's War Grave cleaning ... so time off will be a bit of a misnomer!

I really  need to get on with some cleaning ... but I also need to make some icons, so I shall start with that!!

I know a few smokers ... including my brother Nick
Actually vaping annoys me. I think there are a lot of undiscovered health problems that are going to happen. Add to that and all empty containers causing pollution.

Some cocktails, like a Moscow Mule, are chilly (& lovely)

4. International Owl Awareness Day. Have you ever seen (or heard) wild owls?
I have only seen them at birds-of-prey displays ... or this one time when a local charity did a fund raising.  This was the icon that I made to remember Mum, and as you can see I took her to see the owls, as she loved them.  She is actually holding this one.

Oh my neighbour when I was growing up always had his pipe with him ... and usually lit.

You also reminded me that my other brother will usually have a cigar at Christmas/New Year etc

Yes, that's what summertime "time off" is like! I've been managing house cleaning by doing it one room at a time.

I was so pleased I could get her to see the owls .. and even happier that they offered to let her hold that one.

I hate smokihg and vaping. I think they're both disgusting habits. I had a lot of family members who smoked but most quit. My dad however smoked a few cigars a day all his life. Did I read Moby Dick? Yes, and saw several movie versions. Alice in Wonderland I only saw the Disney movie. No surprise here but Lewis was probably a pedophiile after a collection of many photos of very young girls, some half naked, were found to have been in his possession. 3. I don't drink alcohol but if I did have a fave drink it would be vodka spicy bloody mary. Owl? We have wild owls here all over. I heard one whoo hooing on more than once occasion.

Oh I agree that smoking/vaping is hideous ... some people I see at work you end up smelling the stale tobacco on them when they are still a distance away ... yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
