The End Of Another Month
Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 02:45 pmI live in the wrong part of England ... I had arranged to meet my friend from work for a walk, only to find that our corner of England is wet, windy & cold ... so we met up for tea/coffee instead. So not a complete waste of time.
Work yesterday went well, although the day went slowly as there were quite a few no shows ... still, at least I could sit & read while I was waiting for people to turn up.
This afternoon I want to get some more photos posted ... as well as some icons. I normally do a set of 15 - 20 for this comm, but what with having lost some use of my right hand I will admit I didn't feel as inspired as normally. Still we are asked to make 5 - 20 which I have done.
Once I have got that done I am going into work for a couple of hours as someone has phoned in sick ... so back on the main Welcome Desk this evening.
Right, must get on, so -
30. David Thompson, an English explorer and cartographer was born in 1770. He mapped more Canadian territory than anyone else. Have you visited (or do you live) in Canada?
When I was in the USA for my first visit back in 1989 Mum, Dad & I went to Toronto for a day … Grandma was born there back in 1892. It is somewhere I want to go back to.
See you next month!
