It was a good journey, although I got trapped in traffic for a couple of hours on the way up ... and one on the way back.

Yes, I will have photos to share (at some point), and to prove it here are 3 photos for the missing 3 days!

On the way up I went to the village that Mum was born in, and my grandparents lived in, so is one I knew well ... here is their grave

Then I spent the day with Auntie Mary. She may be 94 but I always have a good laugh, and she is still independant. She was Mum's best friend ... and one special lady.

On the way home I stopped at a National Trust property that I have been to before (and as a kid) ... it was never finished so is fascinating that you can see the original design.

I worked in switchboard this morning, and then after lunch did a big shop and actually started to sort out my garden ... so a very positive day.

I also have more photos to organise and post from Egypt ... so

21. National French Bread Day - the BBC Maestro website identifies 10 types of French bread - which one is your favourite?
Not a great fan of French bread, but will admit I have only had a traditional baguette.

Your Auntie Mary looks exactly like a person I would enjoy spending time with, too :)

And the unfinished house is fascinating, if a little sad.
