Egypt 2 - The Egyptian Museum

After our trip to the pyramids we went to The Egyptian Museum ... we saw the golden mask of Tutankhamun, which is something I have wanted to see since I was 10! No photos were allowed there, although we did see some of the other items in his tomb.

I’m always amazed textiles and shoes etc have survived that long!

One of the items I couldn't photograph was Tutankhamun's underwear ... truly amazing that 3,000 years on it is still pretty perfect.

I suppose if they were well "packed" the hot, dry weather would help ... in England it is too damp for most things.
