Wet & Windy Wednesday!

Well overall I need only post that title as that sums today!

I am hoping to meet up with Toni later, but she will let me know.  That means I have to keep the phone handy and do things that both keep me local, and can be abandoned if needed.

Yesterday I managed to pick up the parcel, as wll as my money for my holiday ... and spotted these beauties -




I actually ended up having a fairly lazy rest of the day ... which means I have lots of things I need to sort out over the next couple of days (I hope)

I want to post the other photos from my Monday day-trip, so they will be up soon ... and before I post this I must do today's question -



Have you ever had a pet?
When I was about 5 the first family Spaniel died, Scrappy, aged 12.
We were pet free until I was 22, then we had Perry, another Spaniel, who was the first love of my life, but sadly died a month short of his 5th birthday. A few months later along came Misty another Spaniel, who was coming up on 16 when he died.
Mum and Dad were dog free for a few years, then along came Jiffy ... who you have "met" ... he helped me to get through losing Mum & Dad, but he died back in 2020.
Since then I have been pet-free
Back while we had Misty, I also had Jaykub, my special boy, who sadly was only 10 when he died back in 2003, and I still miss him. I had my namesake, DJ, on loan for about 10 years after that, and I also loved him ... he went to work for Riding for the Disabled when I gave up riding.
Pets are so, so special.

I tend to think of early Spring as the 'yellow and white season' that leads into nature's blue period - and yet it is those vibrant splashes of pinks that really brighten the days up.

Sadly for me, I have to be close-ish to the pink flowers to see them in the greenery ... maybe that's why I really love the yellow & white of Spring

Beautiful flowers. I don't like the word PET. To me my cats are friends, family members and companions. I've had cats since I was 14.
