Today - Another Chilly Start

I am not often a hat-wearer (well, that's a lie, as I always wear a hat to Church), but what I mean is wearing a woolly hat to keep warm ... but today was one of those days when my 10 minute walk this morning needed a woolly hat, especially to keep my ears warm.

Work has been and gone ... and on my way back I had to walk up the road to avoid the workers, so once home got out the camera to take my "today" photo -


And, have to answer my "today" question, as well -




Joan Baez was born on this day in 1941 - do you have a favourite of her songs?
I will admit I recognised her name, but couldn't think of any of her songs. So thank you Mr Google ... and, yes, I do like her music, although I don't think I have any of her tracks on CD, etc

I fear I might be about to be beset by roadworks for the next few weeks - not near my house but near my daughter's, which is also my route to my favourite small supermarket and my favourite cafe and garden centre :)

We had a year like that last year around Exeter - ever single main road seemed to have a large hole in it!!!
