Monday Again ...

I had a lovely & lazy Sunday ... only out to go to Church (once I had eventually thawed the car, that is)

However I didn't forget the photo challenge, and other than reading I also finished the first of my 1,000 piece jigsaws for the year ... a gift from a friend at Christmas.  And, as you can see, I have started another one, as well -






Now we are on Monday, and I have aleady had a mile's walk ... and as you can see it is very frosty ... so a lovely walk







Just round the corner from where I live is one of my 2 closest post boxes.  For those who don't know all of them have the cypher of the reigning monarch ... from Queen Victoria, on.  I would imagine this is a lesser seen image ... King Edward VIII was on the throne for less than a year.





Right, let's get todays question posted, and answered ... then I have a bit of shopping to do, before sitting down to do some more study (thanks again kazzy_cee). 



8. It's World Typing Day - can you touch type using all your fingers? If not, do you wish you could?
I would love to be able to touch type … would make blogging easier!
I was starting to learn when I was getting into fan-fic writing, but that was about the same time that I de-gloved my finger. Even to this day I don’t use it to type, so had to give up what little I had managed to learn!




Right, shops here I come!

I know I often type that but my nearest shop is less than 1/4 mile away and it is good to buy fruit & veg fresh, if I can.  It means that less get's thrown out as "off", as well ... and even without my regular challenges I have set myself this year, it has done me good to get out of th house for a short time, at the very least.

OMG you de-gloved your finger? How? That must have been SO PAINFUL.

Luckily I was in shock ... so the pain didn't set in at the time. Now the finger gets very cold easily and so is often sore (due to nerve damage). But luckily I still have the finger

It was frosty here on Monday morning, too.

And an Edward 8th postbox is very rare - apparently only 161 pillar boxes were made with his cypher on them :)

Wow - hadn't thought about checking how many there were. Thanks. I just think there is very little around to remind us of that year in our history.
