Yes, sorry, the days drifted!

I did some more training on Friday, and am still struggling with the cough/cold/whatever bugs, so had a lazy afternoon.

Saturday I walked to the shops ... and my normal bus was cancelled, so I had a half hour wait, and as I had bought flour, milk & juice my bags were heavy, so waited for the next one (luckily I always take my Kindle, just in case).  I had plannned to pop in to LJ during the afternoon, but then Christine phone for a chat, and I forgot ... well, it didn't help that I was reading a really great long Spuffy fan-fic, so wanted to get on with that a bit more!

Yesterday being Sunday I didn't switch on the pc, but walked up to Tim & Claires and then with them to the city ... and had lunch.  We then went to the Cathedral to go to the Nativity Service.  Sadly we couldn't take photos, but before it started I did manage to get a picture of Harry ... one of the stars ...

He and George progressed up and down the central aisle during the service, with their Kings.

And now it's today!

I have work this afternoon ... so must get on. It is on the reception/welcome desk. So that will be a good time (I hope). But before I go -

14 – Roast Chestnuts Day: Have you ever made or eaten roast chestnuts?
Never tried them - although they used to be all around my college in London

15 – Cat Herders' Day: Have you ever had to do anything where it felt like you were trying to herd cats?
Try bringing in ponies, at a Rising School, that have been put on a fresh field the previous evening!

16 – Chocolate-Covered Anything Day: Is there anything that would not be improved by being covered in chocolate? What is your favourite chocolate-covered food?
I tend to only eat Cadbury's milk chocolate ... so the answer is yes, but no!

17 – Wright Brothers Day: How do you feel about plane travel?
I love plane travel as it means I go somewhere on holiday ... however I really don't like the feeling of travel, as my body feels really "hot" while I am in the air ... odd sensation.

18 – International Migrants Day: International Migrants Day emphasizes the protection of migrants’ human rights. The day also recognizes the contributions and efforts of migrants around the world. Has anyone in your family ever migrated from one country to another? What would your country be like without migrants?
My great-grandfather moved from England to Wales, to USA, to Canada and back to England ... in the 1880 - 1900's!

Right, will try and catch up properly tomorrow (or the day after!

Plane travel was much easier and more pleasant back in the days of PanAm. When there wasn't long lines, you could get direct flights all the time, and the plane was rarely full. These days..,it's just crazy. Of course, there's reasons why that are necessary like security but I long for the days when I used to travel all the time with my parents everywhere. The only thing I hated? Once, long long ago, they allowed smoking on airlines and I hated that.
