A Weekend Hi

... And there's good news, and bad news!

I had a text yesterday evening to say that Tim & Claire have invited themselves round for morning coffee (and Tim did say cake).  So they are due soon, so I am not here long.

Last night I made a chocolate & apple cake, so hope my baby brother approves ... if not I should imagine that next time he will send me the recipe he wants ;)

So, I had better get on.

I hope to be here Monday, but may be meeting up with Brenda, but will just do the weekend questions ...



28 – International Animation Day: What is your favourite animated film or TV series?
So many 1960/1970s shows ... the original Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, The Whacky Races, Captain Pugwash, Mr Benn ... etc
I love the traditional Disney, as well ... Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Beauty & the Beast specifically.

29 – Internet Day and Cyber-security Awareness Month: Today is both national Internet day and Cyber-security Awareness Month. Are you, or do you try to be, fairly vigilant about how you use the internet, and keeping yourself safe online? Do you tend to use the same password across most sites? Have you ever suffered a malware infection?
We have to do annual "awareness" training at work.
I only have my Bank details on one computer ... but there again, my phone is very basic.

I thought you said you were an only child. Favorite animated film was either Hunchback of Notre Dame 1996 Disney or Watership Down 1978.

No (although occasionally I wish it!!!!)

Nick is 4 1/2 years younger than me, married with 4 boys (one of whom married last year - https://debris4spike.livejournal.com/2022/08/02/ ) I don't see him much but he has a lot of mental (& physical) health problems. I speak to his wife most weeks.

Tim is almost exactly 6 years younger than me and lives local. he is married, but no kids.

I don't get people who have that many problems who bring kids into the world. I think 90 percent of the people who have kids in fact shouldn't.

Oh much of Nick's health problems have been more recent ... but even if they hadn't been, Nick is very much a person who you can't tell what to do, or when to do it.

It was lovely ... what I managed to eat before Time cleared the crumbs!

however it was a very odd recipe, so did wonder if it would work.

Actually the "best" they did was a couple of years ago they invited themselves round for a meal, and even told me what they would like me to make!!!!
