I was in clinic this morning - one of my last few booked.  I shall miss the clinics, and some of the people (but not all).  What I won't miss is Maya (yes, she is still there), especially as she is now re-training as someone to do the tests ... so working with her today made me realise how little she seems to have learnt.  I knew she hadn't listened to me when I was training her, but having done the clinics for a year I would have thought she would have learnt from others around.  I was also suprised with her poor note-taking.  She does have a degree, but that just makes me think that degrees nowadays are nowhere near as tough as "in my day" ... so, yes, I am getting old!

I am here for a couple of hours, but then have to go back in as I also have an evening shift on the reception desk.

So, nice to have a busy day ... but before I go again -

3 – Virus Appreciation Day: OK, so it's been almost three years since Covid rocked the world. Is there ANYTHING you appreciate about that particular virus — well, maybe not the virus itself, but the impact it had on workplace arrangements, or social norms, etc.?
No, sorry, can't think of a thing.

Right, see you tomorrow x

I can't appreciate much about any virus, other than perhaps the fact that scientists have to develop new vaccines LOL to protect us.

People can have a degree but no admin skills. I had a terrible time trying to persuade the Arts Centre director to hire me to do Arts Admin as he thought I was over-qualified and wouldn't do it properly or would be bored and leave.
