I have always worked with people and love them ... sure, I occasionally want to strangle someone, or even just bop them on the nose!!!

Well the shift I did yesterday afternoon was that of working on the main reception/welcome desk. A lot of the time there are also volunteers around, most of which are retired people who I get on very well with. However on a Wednesday eve there is a student who comes in for 3 hours ... now I still need to wonder why? He seems OK, although very "political" in the few conversations we have had. But why he comes I don't know. For example yesterday about 10 minutes after he arrived he told me he was going to get a cup of coffee ... well 3/4 hour later he returned. Then he sat for the next couple of hours at the opposite side to the actual doors looking at his phone. I know it is totally his choice to be there, but he could honestly have been at home as I don't think he spoke to any other visitors, or helped with wheelchairs etc. So, as I said, why did he spend the time there, and not just "rest" at home!!

Oh well ... the shift went well overall. I am back in there again this afternoon.

The sun is shining brightly and I need to get some basic shopping so will take a long walk so I can enjoy that.

I aim to catch up with you all this evening, so hope all is well. But, as ever -

4. Teacher or student?
I love studying ... but am also happy to teach anyone the few things I do know!

Catch up with you all later x

Maybe the student needs volunteer hours as part of a grade. You'd think he'd actually do something helpful but maybe nobody's ever given him a job to cover.
