Yesterday was a good day, but eded up busier than expected.  Monday evening I had a call from Toni to ask if I could possibly dog-sit for them as Pete had a call-back from the hospital.  It was actually his 75th birthday, and he had made plans to see both the girls (sadly his children don't speak to him, despite his ex leaving him before he even mey Toni!).  But health comes first, so I changed my plans and walked up to the hospital in the afternoon.

Tisca is a rescue dog and is about 2, loves people but is very, very wary of other dogs, so was chained in the boot and we sat and chatted .... she was a good girl except for a free running dog who began to head in our direction ... wow, she has a deap bark.

Tisca

So, I ended up covered in white hairs ... and it was great to see Toni & Pete again.

However .... no one knew why he had been called in as they didn't have results.  To say they were annoyed was an under-statement!   So we all wait.

And thus I wasn't at my pc yesterday.

Today I am not working, although I actually have a short training session later as I am looking at some shifts on main reception to both build up my money again, but also to begin to build up my hours of work again.  And, I shall try to be a good girl and take things slowly.

I have icons to make for a short time before getting something to eat, and ...

24. Do you swear? What's your favourite swear word?
I would say never ... but there again, if I stub my toe I will say "OW" and say it with emphasis ... so that's similar ... and when I was a teen we had a great kitchen door to slam, that Mum & Dad always called "wooden swearing"

25. What fictional character is amazing in their book/movie/TV show, but would be insufferable if you had to deal with them in mundane, everyday situations?
I love the character of Dr Quinn, but that being said, she was a bit of a "goody-two-shoes", wasn't she?

Hope to see you later and catch up x

Did you ever read the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder? There's one where she's, I think, a young teenager and would say things when she was angry that were not swear words - but her Ma told her one day, "Laura, don't swear." She thought that making angry exclamations was the same as swearing, at least in intent. I always found that thought-provoking.
