I managed to do 10 icons ... although had planned to make more. This set is for Round 16 of
somein30 and the theme is, again, music. The last set had the same basic theme, but this had to be from specific songs. So I chose 2 favourites, and made 5 from each song.
And the first set is from a family favourite hymn "How Great Thou Art" (my Dad played it at the first service that it was used in England!) and the second set is from "London City" (by James Marsters), and is my favourite of his.
All of the images I photographs that I have taken over the years
How Great Thou Art - Words by Carl Gustav Boberg, translated & music transcribed by Stuart Hine
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the *worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the *rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:
Refrain
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
Refrain
And when I think that God, his Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Refrain
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then *I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, My God, how great thou art!
London City - Words & Music c. James Marsters
Meet me in London City
I've been pinin' on my own
And if you don't get through Heathrow
I just might die
I can't hide
I know I wasn't pleasant
And I guess I never tried
But if you join me in London
I'll try again
I'll try again
Meet me in London City
This tour's just not the same
All the hotel rooms are faceless
The faces strange
I know I wasn't pleasant
And I guess I never tried
But if you join me in London
We'll try again
We'll try again
Come to me in London City
I'll make it worth your journey
You're the only angel for me
And that's no lie
And that's no lie
As ever, all are snaggable, but credit would be appreciated. The credits are available over at my icon journal -
